Dammuso Grande of Tenuta Borgia is a listed building protected by the Italian Registry of Cultural Heritage and Landscape: a beautiful and significant testimony of the dry-stone architecture in the Mediterranean. Surrounded by olive and palm trees, Dammuso Grande dominates the large estate with its mighty walls and its soft domes. A mix of antique and modern furniture decorates large halls and small intimate alcoves. The patios and the gardens preserve pieces that bring back to the ancient farming traditions of the estate. The pool area invites to unwind under the pergola; comfortable seats overlook the garden of hybiscus and the large private pool, tiled with majolica, stretches between the sky and the sea.
Located on the southwest side of the island, in the heart of the coastline from the ancient village of Scauri and the stunning cliff of Arco dell’Elefante, Tenuta Borgia dominates Pantelleria’s richest coast endowed with caves, lava sculptures, emerald coves. Besides being the most striking of the coastline, this spot is also the one from which we assist dramatic sunset in the sea.
