Great place to see Rome from

  • 5 of 5

We had a cosy but brilliant holiday here with 6 adults and 1 child. The location does not get much better than here, so close to walk to all the top tourist attractions and restaurants. Since it is in a back street it is nice and quiet too.

The description was slightly miss leading since it only has one bedroom not two, the living room doubles as the second bedroom. The bedroom is large enough to sleep 5 people (2 double beds and one single bed on the floor) with another double bed in the living room. The owner was friendly, accommodating and kept the place nice and clean.

Access to the apartment is up two flights of narrow winding stairs, so you will need to be comfortable with a small climb. It would be a great place for a families, even up to three or four kids. It was a short ride on bus no. 40 from Termini Station to near Ponte St. Angelo. Very close to the Vatican, only a short walk across the river.

Wonderful place

  • 5 of 5

The location of the apartment is absolutely perfect for sightseeing and within walking distance of all the main attractions. Owner offered to arrange travel between the train station and the apartment. We chose to walk instead to enjoy Rome in the evening. She then offered what bus we could take and we decided to take her up on her suggestion. The bus worked great, although we were unprepared for how inaccurate our cell service was. We were very pleased with the apartment and the amenities included. We were very pleased to find a clothes washer, drying rack, iron and ironing board and full length mirrors.

Wonderful find in the heart of Rome

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was comfortable, clean and well equipped. It was within comfortable walking distance of many sighs in Rome.. Close to the metro and bus stops, and good restaurants.

We also utilized the car service to pick us up at airport upon our arrival to Rome, returned several days later and drove us to the cruise port and then picked us up the following week after our cruise. He was prompt and very helpful.

We would definitely stay here again if we return to Rome.

Piazza Navona. The most famous square of Baroque Rome stands on the site of Domitianus stadium and the name seems to derive from a popular corruption of the term for the competitive games in agone which were held here. From the times of Domitian on, the place was used almost exclusively for sports events, including the famous August regatta in which the participants wore the colours of the nobles and the civic clergy. Even now the feast of the Befana (January sixth) is celebrated there with a typical market.

Other Activities: Shopping, antiquing, museum.
