About the property

A newly refurbished one bedroom flat that is very private and set on the top floor of a three storey period Victorian house. This elevated position enjoys a generous amount of sea views across Whitstable's coastine where there is always something to watch. From one man sailing boats to the local lobster boat dropping its pots off shore or simply watch the large sunset in front of you.

There is a good sized bedroom with a large amount of wardrobe and drawer space for you to settle into, as well as a comfy armchair and newly laid carpet and rug. The room is bright and thoughtfully fitted out. The light fittings and carefully chosen art all fit in, as does the barnacle speckled driftwood coat hook by the door. Traditional wrought metal column radiators complete the look.

The kitchen and dining area are very bright and airy with 2 traditional sash windows facing directly towards the coast. The kitchen is simple but well equipped for everything you are likely to need during your stay. There are the usual utensils and cutlery items as well as a Tassimo coffee machine, which is fee to use. We have chilled wine and Whitstable Ale stocked in our fridge for you to have during your break. So, you can just turn up and start to unwind the minute you get through the door.

The lounge area, only separated by an oak, chocolate coloured, island worktop leads nicely from the kitchen where we have placed a few different styles of seats. Take your pick, we have a captain's chair next to the large sash window, a large comfy armchair or the sofa bed just the other side of the oak coffee table. The Karndean floor runs throughout the area and joins with the hallway. Here you will find board games, assorted reference books and local leaflets and maps. We've even stocked a few disposable BBQ packs for you to take to the beach and have an alternative meal if you wish!

Finally the shower room is clean and modern in its design and fully tiled to give a luxury feel. We have equipped it with an easy to use chrome shower mixer and large rain head. There's a towel radiator and concealed toilet cistern area. The lights come on and off automatically as you use the room and the mirror cabinet has a sensor switch as well as a shaver socket. Fresh hand towels and mats are supplied at the start of your visit.

  • The bedroom is light and airy with a very comfortable feel. The oak furniture(wardrobe, 3+2 chest, side tables) are complimented with white linen and a light grey/white striped carpet. The room is fitted out with nice artwork and plantation shutters provide privacy and a quality finish.

Immaculate flat in good location

Small one bedroom flat ideal for 2 people. It was beautifully clean with good furnishings and a seaside feel. It is set back a little from the sea but as it's on the 2nd floor there is a good view of the sea. Just a 2 minute walk from the shore and 5 minutes from the harbour. An immaculate flat and a perfect stay.

We had a lovely stay here. The flat is in a great location for exploring whitstable, the sea is a minutes walk away, great shops, pubs and restaurants are areally close. Its a great base for costal walks or walking into Canterbury .

The flat is very comfortable and clean and very clear instructions and lots of useful information provided by Paul.

We will definitely visit again!

Great flat, nicely refurbished, very cosy and well equipped

Great flat in a really accessible position within Whitstable town limits. Nice level walks really nearby, close to harbour, sea and town. Reasonably quiet area but a bit rough round the edges, don’t let that put you off as it’s not unsafe just a bit tired and run down outside. Inside the flat has so many great frautures, it’s so cosy and welcoming and a real home from home, look past the bowling alley and the view isn’t bad either. Paul the owner was very helpful and always on tap with any queries answered without any delay. Highly recommend it, enjoy!

Don't Judge a Book by It's Cover - LOVELY

OK so let's be honest here, when you pull up outside the flat you might think "what have I let myself in for".... it's above a shop on a main road, the lock box is a bit fiddly (we spoke to Paul and he's sorting that out), the front door isn't overly welcoming and could do with some TLC (I know that is on Paul's list too), however, as soon as you enter the flat you completely forget what the outside looks like.

You can tell that a lot of love and attention has gone into making the flat a home away from home, the space is amazing, it's well thought out and really well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The honest box in the fridge is a brilliant touch and means that if you fancy a drink you don't have to go in search of a shop.

I would say this place is perfect for a couple looking for a weekend away. Everything is within walking distance. The Pearsons Arms is a really nice "Gastro Pub" and if you want lovely seafood then I would recommend The Crab & Winkle - we hope to go back next year to try some more of the local eating places as there are too many to cover in one weekend.

Points to note:

The front of the property isn't overly welcoming but don't let that put you off.

Parking could be an issue - there are 5 spaces on the main road and it's first come first served (that said we were able to park all weekend)

It's on the 3rd floor and the stairs are a little steep

I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends and we will be returning.
