Superb thatched Devon farmhouse on working smallholding in an area of unspoilt countryside, 0.7 miles from Sheepwash village near Great Torrington. Ideal rural retreat for wildlife lovers. Less than a mile from village pub. Great Torrington 10 miles.

The Long House is a delightful thatched farmhouse situated on the owners' livestock farm, close to the Devon village of Sheepwash and can sleep six people in three bedrooms. There is a superb sitting room with original wooden beams and inglenook fireplace with a woodburning stove, a spacious kitchen/diner and a snooker room. Upstairs there are three bedrooms two double and one twin as well as a ground floor bathroom and a shower room. Outside there is a private garden with seating and off road parking for two cars. The Long House is an excellent cottage for exploring beautiful Devon, at any time of the year. Amenities: Biomass central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, 2 x TVs (1 Smart) with FreeSat, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Lawned garden with patio and furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 10 mins walk. Note: Some of the electricity is supplied by solar panels and the water supply is from the owner's bore hole. Note: Private grass landing airstrip on the farm available free of charge, subject to weather conditions, by prior arrangement with owner is essential. Note: Day tickets for fly fishing on River Torridge can be purchased from the local pub or the adjacent farm for around £15 per day.
