4 bedrooms, 4 ensuite bath/shower rooms, pool, covered dining terrace....
Hi, I am Christine. My husband bought the chateau in 1990 and it has been the family French home ever since. We have overseen major renovation work to the house itself and are now turning attention to the gardens in more detail. We have a home in England as well, so split our time between the two.
Christine purchased this Chateau / Country House in 1990
Why Christine chose Tourdun
There is a feeling of peace in this home... I find it incredibly easy to switch off and leave work, the clock and hassles behind. It is a place where it is so easy to sit and think or sit and not think!

A week of sun, pool and snooker in this lovely house!
Perfect in every way.
Perfect in every way.
Quiet and peaceful surroundings with very comfortable living spaces
A great place for a group or family holiday. The chateau is impressive with generous sized bedrooms and living spaces surrounded by a large garden. The swimming pool further complements the comfortable main building
I am so pleased you had a lovely holiday.
I agree that space is wonderful and the views amazing... I love sharing them both!
Beautiful, quiet and secluded house overlooking the Bastide town of Marciac in the South of France.
We recently stayed here for the first time and can only agree with all the positive comments from other reviewers. The house is light, spacious and very tastefully furnished, and is situated in an elevated position above the small town of Marciac, with amazing southerly views from both the house and terrace firstly over the town, then across open countryside and agricultural land towards the Pyrenees in the distance.
We were completely undisturbed by anyone for two weeks, the combination of house, heated pool, open and covered terraces and the mature trees in and around the garden made for such a peacefull environment that previously-planned visits in the local area failed to materialise and remained as plans.
The owner could not have been more helpful in answering our queries during booking and subsequently - we certainly hope to stay there again and have no hesitation in recommending it to other families.
Thank you.... you were perfect guests.
I love the gardens here; we started planting over 25 years ago so many trees are approaching maturity... we are now turning our attention to replacing some trees and some terracing, so hopefully smaller shrubs etc get a look in soon.
Utter Fairy Tale. Highly Recommend
This chateau was actually amazing, photos can't convey the pure beauty of the chateau, grounds and views!
Being a 2 family group we all enjoyed every single day, be it, being in the pool, sunbathing, playing pool, eating in the out door kitchen area, taking in the views over Marciac!
We were treated to amazing thunder and lightning storms a couple of evenings, this was an experience in its self, one i will always remember.
While sitting at the airport to return home we were all planning our return trip! Cant wait to get back to the fairy tale chateau.
you were the perfect guests in my home and I am sooo pleased you enjoyed it.
I totally agree, it is almost impossible to get photographs that do justice.
Take care and hope to have you visit again soon
Stunning Property in Tourdun.
A group of eight of us stayed in the Chateau for a week at the end of June 2018. We were the first guests of the season and there were some teething problems but Christine's concierge soon sorted them out for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and made full use of the beautiful swimming pool as the temperatures were in the thirties! It was great to relax in the spacious lounge; although it was so warm we enjoyed having our meals outside on the patio.
The situation of the Chateau was quiet and secluded with stunning views of the nearby lake and Marciac and the snow topped Pyrenees in the distance.
We can recommend lunch on the boat, La Peniche, which is on the lake at Marciac.
I am sure you would enjoy your stay in Christine's lovely chateau.
Thank you for your review... I totally agree, La Peniche is a wonderful place to eat. I have done so for over twenty years now and love it.
There were teething problems and your patience was really appreciated. I am so grateful too, to my Concierge for being so responsive. Her personal sense of responsibility is wonderful...
I think of the chateau as a quiet peaceful place and am delighted to see others enjoy that quality as well.
The annual jazz festival is a major tourist and music event in Marciac. There are amazing groups, solo acts and a fantastic opportunity to sit in the town square and enjoy the open air jazz played there into the evening. I love sitting with a glass of wine, beautiful music watching the world...
Wineries abound in the region especially those using the madirsn grapes ... there is a vineyard on the slopes just below the chateau which is owned by Saint Mont, a local well known wine
