Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 3 - 7 nights

About the property

Pet friendly, hot tub, great views

This is a perfect, peaceful location with the Menai Strait just a hop skip & jump away. If you want to rent a paddle board and trundle down to the shore to explore, catch a fish or walk the dog on the shore, Paddleboard Cottage is an ideal spot.

You can enjoy this tranquil haven with the buzz of Menai Bridge, Snowdonia and lots of white sandy beaches within easy reach. Enjoy a sundowner on the decked terrace, or stroll down to the water's edge, enjoy the varied bird life, watch the tide ebb and flow or simply watch the fabulous sunsets bounce off the water.

If you have a thirst for adventure then this area is an absolute must. Rib rides on the Straits (one of the best ways to see Anglesey by boat), surf in the mountains (really!), learn to kite board, go for a zip wire experience, do the tree top adventures, or visit the many National Trust houses - take your pick, it is all here and we can point you in the right direction.

Finnish style wood burning hot tub rental available.

We accept a small dog.

Bedrooms are located downstairs and comprise of:

1 bedroom has a kingsize bed.

1 bedroom has two single beds.

Bathroom is compact but has everything you need - shower over bath, sink, toilet, mirror and heated towel rail.

Living Room is open plan upstairs with a simple well stocked kitchen: fridge with icebox, electric oven with gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle.

This cottage is great for couples and families.

About Nicki Ashwell

I'm Nicki! In my old life I roamed the oceans as a yachtswoman. When Tom and I came ashore to start a family we chose Anglesey as we love having the mountains and beach only minutes apart. We live right next door so I'll pop around to make sure you benefit from local knowledge on things like where to eat, or to find places that calm the soul or do things that electrify it! There is SO much to do in this area. I'm really easy to talk to so why not give me a call?

Why Nicki Ashwell chose Y Felinheli

We fell in love with the location. It is steeped with history and we appreciate being so close to the water. Anglesey is a perfect spot for beaches and within easy reach of the mountains too.

What makes this cottage unique

You can join The Coastal Path literally from the front door. The views of the Straits are epic. We are close enough to everything you need, but secluded enough to feel like you are escaping it all too!

You can also rent the Finnish style wood fired hot tub from us at £35/night (3 night min) for a truly sublime sensory experience.

We can also arrange paddleboard rentals and boat trips on the Menai Straits and surrounding area for you. Just ask.

enchanting comfy cottage looking across Menai Straits to mountains of Snowdonia

  • 5 of 5

Loved Paddleboard Cottage, so beautifully put together by Nicki, our delightful host who was so friendly and helpful. Beds and bedding SO comfy.

Great location for Anglesey and Snowdonia.

The Finnish hot tub in the garden was fab...a real treat, especially as the weather was atmospherically cloudy and a bit chilly with a light of Prosecco in the hot tub was great! We'll definitely be back, thanks Nicki.

Excellent stay

  • 5 of 5

Paddleboard is exactly as it says "cosy cottage"; very comfortable, great deck and right next to the water. For a place to enjoy family time, to enjoy being by the sea - excellent.

Cosy secluded cottage

  • 5 of 5

A cute cosy home from home. Very quiet area maybe a little remote with shops n nearest pub 10 minutes drive away but perfect for us and anyone else wanting a peaceful break away. Nicki and Tom the hosts are very helpful providing information on the areas and out of hours telephone numbers and providing pain relief (when i hurt my back).

Pretty cottage in secluded location

  • 5 of 5

A pretty little hidden treasure, ideal to get away from the daily routine. Very secluded so a car is required for getting about (unless you have a canoe!). Really comfortable and well laid out internally. Living accommodation upstairs to make the most of the view, bedrooms downstairs for a cosy night's sleep. The weather was not very kind to us but there's a deck to enjoy the view from and also a lovely Nordic, charcoal fired hot tub that we managed to use in spite of the wind and rain! Plenty of stuff to do nearby, either on Anglesey itself or across the bridge in beautiful Snowdonia. Nicki was a great host too!
