Vina Cristina is a typical rural estate in this region of the White Villages. The house has a garden and is surrounded by mountains and fields with grazing sheep and beautiful views. The garden has an orchard and an irrigation ditch where the water flows in the rainy months. There is a barbecue on the porch where you can eat on sunny winter days and summer dining under the grape arbor, facing Ronda La Vieja where the moon rises. Inside, the house offers convenience and comfort for the holidays, with nice and simple rooms. The main room has a large fireplace, CD / books and local maps. There is the dining room, near the arch that opens onto a large, attractive kitchen, covered with Spanish tiles and granite countertops. It has gas stove, microwave, refrigerator / freezer and is equipped completely. There are two bedrooms. One with two single beds and one with double bed and wood stove. They are pleasantly decorated in communion with nature. The bathroom has bath and shower and a heated towel rail. There is also a hair dryer and hot water bottles for the cold months. We supply a sack of firewood in winter. There is good reception for the mobile.
La Ribera del Gaidovar is a historic enclave, located in the Natural Park and close to the town of Grazalema. For centuries the flour mills and oil mills of the river bank of this river have been working, when the area was quite populated and there were still rural schools. At the end of the 20th century the activity of the last mill of La Ribera ceased. Other constructions that are observed in the area were old houses / wine cellars.
Grazalema is a beautiful and small white village in the Sierra de Cádiz, which retains much of its architecture and traditional ways of life. It is located in a privileged enclave within the Natural Park with a very diverse fauna and flora and unforgettable landscapes. A small town, with an original architecture very well preserved and very interesting anthropological festivals, such as the Toro de Cuerda or the historical recreation of "Los Bandoleros".
The gastronomy, very natural, is based on local products, with Payoyo cheese being one of the best in Spain, the Iberian pig raised in freedom, as well as traditional, the consumption of game, partridge, deer, rabbit etc.
Of interest, are also the organic oils and wines made in nearby mills and wineries and the leather work that is manufactured in the neighboring town of Ubrique.
In winter the snow reaches Grazalema in a few days and it is quite an event to contemplate the beauty of its white landscapes. Autumn and spring are the best times for hiking on the many routes that link white villages. There are specialized companies for riding horses, practicing Hang Gliding or cycling routes. Archaeological, enological and gastronomic visits can also be made. In summer the nights are cheerful and cool with numerous terraces open until late at night. There are many places where you can swim and cool off, the Municipal Pool, Arroyo Molino, El Pantano, without forgetting the nearby coasts of Málaga and Cádiz.
