This warm and welcoming ‘home’ is situated in the heart of the historic old town of Nerja on Calle Pintada. El Capricho is a top floor 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in a building of only 2, it boasts a magnificent private terrace with its own pool and breath-taking 360 degree views of Nerja’s stunning coastline and mountains. With an abundance of tropical plants the terrace is a delightful haven in this beautiful town. The apartment is furnished and decorated to exacting standards, with high quality cream furniture and some unique pieces to show its true quality. The apartment has a real luxurious feel and is a true home, as opposed to a standard holiday rental property and this is shown through the care and attention to details. The property has a large private terrace with private pool which makes this property so unique as very few offer such a central location combined with private outside space.


Large combined lounge and dining area with seating for 4 at dinner and a superb sofa with extending leg rests, reclining headrests and sumptuous cushions. Two full height patio doors with multi-position doors opening to Juliet balconies.


The high quality kitchen is fully fitted with appliances including; Fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle and toaster. Full height patio door opening to a Juliet balcony with views to Plaza Cantarero.

Notes on bedrooms:

Master Bedroom with double bed, extensive fitted wardrobes providing plenty of hanging space. Vanity units and a full length mirror. Air Conditioning unit for hot and cold. Second Bedroom also with double bed and additional fitted wardrobes for storage & dressing table with mirror.


Both bathrooms have been fitted to a very high standard, one with walk-in shower, toilet, basin and bidet. The second bathroom has a full size bath, basin and toilet. Both bathrooms have large mirrors and ample storage space, and a hair-dryer is provided.


The apartment is in a fantastic location where you really are close to all amenities. The apartment overlooks Plaza Cantarero where there is a cafebar which is great for breakfasts and is also a lovely place to sit on an evening to have a few drinks.

Just a little lower down on the street there is a great Fruit and Vegetable shop selling all the fruits you can imagine, and so much bigger and juicier that you would every get in the UK. Also just across the street is a local cosmetics/cleaning shop which sells any toiletries, detergents you might want. Located just opposite the Plaza Canterero square is a small bakery where you can buy freshly baked bread each morning. Whilst the main supermarket 'Mercadona' is just a 5 minute walk away.

The centre of Nerja’s old quarter and the famous Balcon de Europa is just a short 5 minute walk away, as well as its beaches. The larger Burriana beach can be reached within a 15 minute walk.

                                                          Two BR / two bath in old town near groceries and bus hub. Clean newly renovated and well appointed. Great TV and WiFi in cozy living dining area. Well equipped kitchen with nice appliances and a washer. Private Rooftop terrace is amazing with great space and a (summer) unheated plunge pool. Responsive and kind owner. Would return.

                                                          Note: we chose to leave halfway through our stay due to a sewer gas problem which, despite owner efforts, persisted. No refund offered. Beware before you book.

                                                          The apartment is well presented. We found it cool but we had a heater for the last 2 weeks so that was handy. Tanya was helpful and gave us some treats (e.g. fruit, wine ), there was a problem with the pool but this was no hardship as it was too cool for a dip.

                                                          Nice apartment sentral in Nerja. The pool water was very cold and not to be enjoyed. At this price it should been heated. The terrace is nice, but with no pillows in the chairs when eating outside, the table was way to high. One of the bathrooms had a bad smell, but probable fixed already. All in all it is a very enjoyable apartment with a good kitchen and good bedrooms.

                                                          What a beautiful place this penthouse is. Everything to make a fantastic holiday. Everything you could wish for. clean , plenty of room for 4 adults, fabulous roof terrace with pool, every facility in kitchen and bathrooms, constant hot water, air conditioning, very comfortable, beds and towels change frequently, perfect location, quiet yet in centre of old town few moments walk to all bars restaurants and Balcon . Made very welcome by Tanya. and thanks so much for the Moet Chardon, a lovely touch. Will be coming again I hope very soon.

                                                          Perfect location and fabulous place.


                                                          I can highly recommend this property for your holiday. We were a family of 3, taking our 16 year old daughter, and we had plenty of space to relax together. The apartment is beautiful inside with everything you could need to make it a home from home. Clean, bright and finished to a really high standard. Wifi is fast. The pool was perfect and actually bigger than we expected it to be, we could all cool off in there when it got hot on the roof terrace.

                                                          It is well located, with bars, restaurants and shops nearby and well within walking distance. Nerja is a great holiday destination. We had some fab meals out but mostly enjoyed relaxing on the roof terrace in the day.

                                                          Tanya gave us a wonderful welcome and was really thorough throughout the process. Her communication was excellent and it really helped to give us a memorable holiday. A fabulous host.

                                                          We can also recommend Nerja Taxis for transfers (faultless service) and for food the resteraunt called 34, its in a hotel (google it), we had a truly memorable meal. Expensive but worth it. Book early and ask for a sea view table on the terrace and you won't be disappointed.
