One bedroom, former fisherman's cottage in the heart of beautiful Brixham
If you love staying in a holiday home that oozes character from every corner, then you’ll love Crew Cottage. Tucked away in a quiet corner of central Brixham, but still close to the hustle and bustle of a working fishing town, this little gem has everything you’ll need for a relaxing break for two.
As soon as you step inside, you’ll be greeted by a sophisticated interior, that’ll take you back to the days when fishermen used to return after days at sea. Beautiful accessories and artwork have transformed this bijoux cottage into a charming home from home. And, just wait until you see the bedroom… exposed walls and a large vaulted ceiling give a sense of space and calm, and the comfy armchair invites you to curl up with your favourite book.
When you head out of the cottage, you’re merely a stone's throw from the beautiful, historic harbour where you’ll find plenty of contemporary cafes and cosy pubs showcasing the best of the local ales. Take a walk along the South West Coast Path, a boat trip across the bay or visit the famous Napoleonic fort at Berry Head.
Of course, a stay in Brixham would not be complete without sampling the local catch of the day. From traditional fish and chip shops to superb restaurants run by award winning chefs, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
Crew Cottage is the perfect place to base your holiday to enjoy the delights of South Devon, from breathtaking coastal walks, sailing, fishing and pleasure boat trips, to trips on a steam train. Or simply enjoying the harbour town's gastronomic delights after a pleasing amount of retail therapy in the independent boutiques.
Park the car and forget it for the duration with all that you need on your doorstep and excellent transport links to take you further afield if you seek it by road or sea. This is the perfect place to unwind and recharge.

Why Mark Talboys chose Brixham Civil Parish
This 200 year old fisherman's cottage, full of character, a short 1 minute walk to the beautiful Brixham harbour. My wife and I love visiting Crew Cottage (when it is available :-)), just to getaway for a relaxing restful time, to enjoy the incredible coastal walks, and to sample traditional English fishing village life.

Neat cosy cottage in heart of Brixham
We had a lovely stay in this neat and cosy cottage in the centre of Brixham. Lack of parking only downside.
Coleton Fishacre is a must.
Great 1 bed cottage in perfect location
This was a lovely little one bed cottage for our 3 night mini break. Very well equipped and cosy for a couple to stay in. This was our first stay in Brixham and we would definitely return. There is no parking but we purchased a 3 day pass and didn't use the car until we we t home! There is a good bus service and the day hopper is £5 which is good value. We also did the boat trip to Dartmouth ferry and return to Paignton by steam train which was lovely!
Hi Steve, thank you for your kind review. Very pleased you had a good time in Brixham. True, there is no dedicated parking to the property, but there is free street parking a few minutes walk away or as you found paid parking in town only a minute or 2 walk from Fisherman's Cottage. Hope to see you again some time.
All the best,
Conveniently located cottage
Crew Cottage is compact but well equipped and laid out. It maintains authenticity without compromising on modern creature comforts. Located within easy walking distance of all that Brixham has to offer - it's a great base for exploring the town and local area.
Beautiful cosy little cottage
This cottage was perfect for our weekend in Brixham, we had a wedding at the Berryhead Hotel which was in walking distance, the town itself was just down a few steps and easy access to Dartmouth. The cottage was very pretty, we would definitely visit again :)
Hi Jennifer, Thank you for your kind comments, delighted you both had a nice stay in Brixham. Hope to see you again soon!
Loved the cottage and loved Brixham.
Loved the arrangement of the cottage, everything we could have asked for - maybe a non stick frying pan? Thank you
Hi Jo, thank you for your kind comments. Especially, the non-stick pan advice, so useful to have this kind of feedback :).
We love.... Fabulous coastal walks to Berryhead, St Mary's Bay and on to Kingswear. Or in the other direction to Churston with refershments at the beautiful Manor Inn before walking on to Greenway and getting the ferry to Dittisham or Broadsands. Cricket and a picnic on the beach at St Mary's Bay. Naughty cake and coffee at The Guardhouse Cafe. Boat trips across the bay. Day trips to Dartmouth. Real ales in any one of the cosy pubs, although our favourite is The Queens Arms, which won South Devon CAMRA pub of the year 2014 and 2016. Fine foods from breakfast at Port Espresso to supper at Rockfish overlooking the sea amongst the lights of the fishing boats. For more information please visit: www.visitbrixham.com
