Nestled in the hills beyond the Silverado Golf Resort and Spa, the Wine Getaway is a secluded Napa Valley very spacious 3,200 sq. ft. vacation home. It is located fifteen to twenty minutes from the Silverado Trail, and wine-country activities. The home is set amid 22 acres, with two small lakes and 5 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon vines. There are 4 bedrooms, 3 King and 1 Queen. The Queen bed is located in a guest house adjacent to the main house.
Enjoy ping pong, bocce ball, walks in the vineyard, a picnic next to the lakes, fishing, and the splendid views. There is an eight person maximum.
We have lowered our pricing to compensate for any VRBO fees to the guest.
This property appealed to us with the lakes and delightful birds and wildlife, as well as several vistas of the Cabernet vineyards on this large 22 acre property.
You will find this a peaceful retreat away from it all. Some of the residents include the egret, blue heron, geese, turkeys, quail, muskrat, an otter, and various breeds of ducks, depending on the season.
There are bass in the lakes as well, so some fishing catch and release is allowed.
Enjoy taking time to visit wineries, a few of the closest being in the Napa area, Yountville and Oakville. Ask us for suggestions to local wineries and restaurants.
First of all, thank you very much for the bottle of Dos Lagos. We took it with us to dinner one night and everyone in our group rated it at the top of the wines we tasted while in Napa (and we tasted a lot of wine!).
Our stay at your home was delightful, and it accommodated our needs perfectly. Although we did not make use of the outdoor grills, and barely used the kitchen (we dined out for all meals except a light breakfast each morning), we made full use of all the other amenities. We swam, we played bocce ball, we went on hikes, and we soaked up the sun on your deck. Everything worked that was supposed to work and the atmosphere at your home is warm and welcoming.
Thank you for helping to make our Napa vacation a fantastic, memorable experience.
Wheel chair accessible! Well equipped kitchen! We made dinner and breakfast for everybody. Played ping pong with my 5.5years old Niece. Strolled along the vineyards, was an amazing walk! Fantastic views and it was really quiet too.
Thank you Marcie!
Our group of women golfers enjoyed this very accommodating home over a long weekend during which we played three rounds of golf at the Chardonnay Golf Club. Marcie and Tom are great hosts, and the house is spacious and comfortable for eight adults.
Marcie and Tom,
I want to express my sincere thanks for welcoming us all into your beautiful home. All 8 of us remarked daily how lucky we were to have found your home for our wine country getaway. The bedrooms accommodated us all beautifully. The kitchen provided us all the necessities to prepare gourmet meals for all 8 of us, and the pool provided us with a refreshing recharge in the middle of the day after the beautiful Napa weather allowed us a gorgeous day of touring! Hiking to the top of Atlas Peak Road gave us a great wake-up to our days, and the peaceful seclusion of your vineyards provided us all the rest and relaxation we sought. The ping pong table offered us an outlet for our competitive sides, as did the bocce court!
Our dinner at Bistro Don Giovanni was a special event to cap off our time in Napa. The food was well-prepared, the wine list was well thought out, the desserts were sublime and the ambience was energetic. If there weren't so many great choices in the Valley, I'd say we would surely return, but knowing myself, I'd probably want to partake of another of your recommendations (say, il Posto?) and the Valley's many outstanding offerings.
As for our stay in your home, I'd return there in a heartbeat! Thanks again. Feel welcomed if you are ever in Sheboygan!
Dos Lagos Vineyard and home is the best stay to truly understand the Wine Country story!
The ride on Atlas Peak Road ( from Silverado CC) is relaxing, eventful and enjoyable. It’s a plus!
The home was in most satisfactory condition:
• Beds were well made, totally comfortable,
• Bathrooms, clean, neat + soap, tp, etc all convenient and sufficient
• Kitchen: Milk, butter, water, olive oil, coffee were all pluses.
• Pool & outside areas: Clean, neat, and superb morning swim
• Vineyards: A joy to walk through. Wild blackberries were “stolen” and added to morning cereal. Yummy!
• Golf: Silverado: Always enjoyable. The Napa Public Kennedy Course (just shy of town) at $45 is a winner for it is a challenging course, adequately maintained golf course set up among lakes and streams in lower Napa.
• Food: We took advantage of Silverado’s Brut & Bird Thursday night special for two @ $45: It was superb. Marvelous citrus salad, succulent broasted chicken, freshly mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw & kale veggie plus a split of Domaine Chandon each.
o Genova Delicatessen: So good to find still operating! Sandwiches & salads are superbly prepared. Same old style people behind the counter as 30 years ago in Oakland & SF
o Ristorante Allegria: Excellent pappardelle con fungi! My linguini con vongole e marinara was quite good. Would go again.
o Bodega Bay Oysters: On Valley Ford Rd, was enjoyable. Good selection & so fresh. We picnicked under the trees on their tree filled grounds.
o Occidental’s Neri Restaurant is still going strong: Home baked pastries, bread galore and their ravioli’s have always been so good with chard, meats and a dough that floats to the heavens.
o Tasca Tasca: Sonoma’s Portuguese tapa style bar restaurant was enjoyable with a good selection of old world wine and beer plus Azorean specialties. Manuel Azevedo (La Sallette) owns this new restaurant also.
o Pat’s Runway: It’s not Jonesy's menu, but they still do have Jonesy's potatoes.
• Aside from the delicious Dos Lagos Cab (a bottle provided), Luna’s was enjoyable with a Sunday guitar jazz player.
• Chimney Rock was over the top with Tom Price being our server and guide into the vineyard and grounds.
• Hess & art exhibits: Interesting. Passed on Stag's Leap @ $65 pp tasting!
The property was the perfect rental. It had a pool, 2 lakes on a vineyard. The Host Marcie and her Husband Tom were the absolute perfect Host. They are beautiful people with a beautiful property.
The property was just so beautiful-with views of two lakes and easy access to all of the vineyards for walking.
We fished at the second lake, and had a glass of the owners amazing wine while watching turtles swim about. The pool at the house was great, and lots of space to sit with umbrellas and comfortable seating.
The owner was very responsive both by email and by phone, and offered us help and information prior to our trip.
The kitchen has everything you can want, so a chef can easily cook in the kitchen or with the outdoor gas barbecue.
We will definitely come back!
Almost official size Bocce Ball Court below the house...
There is now a picnic table and large umbrella down by the second lake.
