Sleeping upto 12, The Old Vicarage is located in the ravishingly pretty Castle Hedingham, Essex, with views of both the church and the castle. Of Georgian design the house is stunningly beautiful, spacious and luxurious; the perfect place for a relaxing get-together. The village has good amenities with a number of shops and traditional pubs and a tea-room. The towns of Braintree, Halstead and Colchester are only a short drive away, all offering shopping centres and restaurants.
The basement has been furnished to allow a space where you can relax in comfort. The garden is truly outstanding and, equipped with a large heated swimming pool (Apr-Oct), is the ideal place to have a get together or BBQ.

Hedingham Castle is only a short walk from the house with history dating back to the 11th century. The Castle has been described as the best preserved Norman keep in England and is regularly used for wedding ceremonies. The Old Vicarage is superbly situated to accommodate wedding guests requiring sleeping accommodation.
This large, historic and luxurious house is ideal for many types of get-together, where guests are encouraged to relax and enjoy their environment and take advantage of their historic surroundings. For whatever your purpose, you will not regret having booked your accommodation here.
We do not allow fireworks apart from on 5th Nov and New Year's Eve.
The Old Vicarage is a family home in a residential area. We ask that our neighbours are to be respected and that music is not played after 10pm at weekends and 9pm during the week.
A friendly caretaker is in residence in the cottage annex on site; he keeps himself to himself, but is available to help if needed.
