Things to do in Tavira Area: This is a beautiful property in a stunning location. Perfect location with no need at all for a car. The Isle of Tavira is idyllic with pure white sandy beaches. The apartment is in the Rio Formosa nature reserve.

Tavira is known as one of the most attractive towns in the Algarve. Dating back to 2,000 BC, Tavira has a wealth of architectural gems from a range of eras, especially Roman. Stayed here with my 2 children in October half term, after first few days rain, we had glorious sunshine and so enjoyed the stunning beaches.

The apartment was spacious and of a high standard. with the roof solarium we were able to enjoy dinner upstairs under the stars. Thanks for a wonderful home, our girls loved it and the fact we had all those channels to choose from!!

A highly recommended apartment in a lovely development.

I loved the location, handy to the train and also the shop. The beach was a bit of a walk for little legs but we managed it and it was so worth it. The rooftop terrace was fantastic, we could watch the kids in the pool from there and also see the boys when they went to play football on the large pitch.

The apartment is well equipped with all the utensils that you need. The beds were comfortable, the kids loved the TV when they were wanting to chill out, everything worked as it should. The books, parasols and pool toys were a real bonus. I could go on forever. We loved to BBQ on the rooftop and often dined there.

Enjoyable visit, very good accommodation - ok location

Things we liked :

Size of accommodation - probably the largest apartment I have stayed in.

Quality of furnishings is great, although one or two items might benefit from replacement.

Kitchen is very equipped, everything you need is there.

Pool nicely sized, rarely got too busy.

Nearby snack bars and restaurants. Note able mentions are the Hairy Lemon and Snack Bar Rosalia, both offer an 8 Eur lunch which includes beard / olives, main, desert, coffee and half litre of wine! Incredible value.

Rota dos Sabores is great restaurant close by and offers some beautiful food and reasonable prices. Steak on the stone is highly recommended and their chips are unique and incredibly tasty.

Things we did not like so much.

Location - a good 20 minute walk to Cabanas seafront, on a hot day this might be a little excessive for some, We would have preferred to have been a little closer. Conceaicao mainly consists of a large number of apartments and a few restaurants, Cabanas itself is quite similar but does have more character. (BTW Tavira which is a short train ride away is lovely and well worth a visit or two)

To access the pool you had to exit the apartment, walk a short way down the street and then open a large iron gate, which was very difficult to exit out of, the lock had recently been changed and was very temperamental.

Overall an enjoyable stay, however we would probably stay in Tavira next time if we were to return to the area.

Beautiful, modern property

My husband and I stayed in this spacious, well equipped apartment for 8 nights in May with my parents. It was easily large enough for 4 adults inside, but it's the outdoor area that really makes this apartment special. It's so relaxing up there. The furniture is modern and comfy. Ideal for sunbathing all day and relaxing on the settee watching the sunset. Supermarket and some bars within easy walking distance but it's worth the 20 min walk into Cabanas to check out the bars and restaurants. No car required. Taxis are cheap and 7 min walk to train station means you can travel along the coast to visit other towns with ease (you can't hear the trains from the apartment). All in all a great place to stay and I'd love to come back soon

Not really luxurious

The area was great and the condo was large but tired. It needs freshening and some new furniture if it is to be rated as "luxurious".

Owner's Response: The guests travelled from Canada and booked for 3 months, during the initial week they made us aware of some minor remedial work, this was carried out without delay, at our expense. I visited the property after their departure and the property was in good order. We have since added a further smart TV to the bedroom and am satisfied, as the owner that the penthouse is indeed well furnished, offering both spacious and quality living. Always happy to listen to constructive ideas as we acknowledge your holiday is Important. We pride ourselves on repeat bookings and with 34 weeks booked out in 2018, feel this is a statement.

Huge roof terrace. Great views.

Stayed over Christmas and had a lovely time. Apt has everything you need. Comfy beds, hot showers and a huge roof terrace for all day sun plus two other terraces facing south and east. The complex was very quiet at this time of year which we loved although we did enjoy the company of some friendly cats who live in a neighbouring apartment. We adore cats but they will not come near you unless encouraged to do so, so if you are not a cat fan, it wouldn't be an issue.

The only small negative was the apartment could be a little cold even with the aircon on heating and we would have liked a dvd player as we bring movies with us but these are small things which didn't affect our overall enjoyment.

There was 5 or 6 restaurants which stayed open in the area and the best one is within a 5 min walk. The spar shop is superbly stocked and has everything you need.

Fantastic property

A clean, well furnished apartment. Everything excellent quality with all you need. A fantastic terrace with BBQ-perfect for relaxation or entertaining. Balconies have shade or sunshine -this apartment has it all. Also very secure apartment/complex with pool. Travelled as family of 5 with three children under 10 and it worked really well for us.
