Much of Specchia’s history dates back to the period of the Normans, and rule of the area past through several hands until the end of the feudal age in the early 19th century.
Specchia has several churches, palazzi or palaces, and a castle. In about 20 minutes by car you can reach both the Ionian and Adriatic coasts from Specchia.
