My accommodation is a spacious and bright apartment in the heart of Lecce, with balcony and air conditioning, composed of entrance, double bedroom, living room with a sofa bed, kitchen and bathroom, located on the third floor of a condominium. It is 100 meters from the pedestrian area of the historical center of the city, great location for visiting the historic sites of the city. You will like my accommodation for the modern and cozy style, the comfortable accommodation, the light, the tranquility.
My apartment is located close to Porta Rudiae, one of the three doors that give access to the historic city center, once protected by walls, beyond which you can explore the wonders of the Baroque Lecce and stroll looking at the typical local craft shops.

Lecce is a small, friendly town. Its beauties are all concentrated in the Old Town, which can be visited on foot, walking through its narrow streets full of small shops selling local crafts. Typical artifacts you will find are: stone gadgets Lecce, yellow, porous stone which are made all the historic and baroque buildings of the city; sandals in the well-made leather; paper mache figurines and cribs. There are numerous baroque churches to visit. The most important: the Cathedral, whose square has a spectacular view, and Santa Croce; its facade's decorated and its rosette are the iconic images of Lecce. The city also has important Roman sites, such as the Amphitheatre, in Sant'Oronzo Square (the main square of the city) and the Roman Theatre. And 'the ideal city for those who love the vitality, the colors, the music (there are often street performers that will brighten our evenings), good food.
I recommend to those who have the chance to enjoy our land a few more days, to also enjoy the surroundings of Lecce; Salento is a wonderful place. The sea in the first place. If three jewels to visit, the first for its old town completely surrounded by the sea, the second for his major sanctuary that overlooks the harbor, traveling by car I recommend to circumnavigate the Gallipoli-Santa Maria peninsula Leuca- Otranto, the third with its impressive castle and superb martyrs Cathedral. You will see the beauty of the coast along the coast, which alternates wide sandy beaches to the rugged landscape of the cliffs from the crystalline sea. Do not miss the beaches of Porto Cesareo, Gallipoli, Bear Tower. Suitable for families, quieter and less frequented by tourists, but no less beautiful, the beaches of Torre Chianca, San Cataldo, San Foca, also reachable by urban autubus. wonderful inside the Basilica of Santa Caterina in Galatina. Who stays in Salento from June to September may attend many festivals that animate the summer of Salento, where you can taste local culinary products, and you can dance to the rhythm of folk dances. The traveling show of "Nights of Taranta" will make you appreciate our overwhelming and colorful traditional music.
