Warm, spacious and very well equipped family house
We've just returned from a very lovely Christmas in Ballygarrett. Our group consisted of 5 adults and two small children, and this house was the perfect venue! There was more than enough space for all, and a fun layout that encouraged a very convivial astmosphere. Anne went the extra mile to set us up for a memorable stay, and we arrived to a beautiful Christmas tree and a house in full festive cheer. We enjoyed long wintery walks on windswept beaches in the area. The weather was frosty cold but the house was warm and cosy throughout. A modern and very well equipped house that catered for all our needs. And the kids just loved the jacuzzi! Highly recommended!
I stayed in this house in Ballygarrett in August
and had a great time.
My mother, sister, brother-in-law and five year old niece
came along for the fun as well. We found the house plenty
big enough for everyone and also big enough to escape
into the sitting room for a bit of R and R! Every room is
very well appointed and, unusually, we found almost
everything we brought along as a contingency
remained unused and unpacked.
The bedrooms upstairs are lovely and are all
en-suite - the water-pressure from the showers
are literally a blast and a great way to wake-up!
The living room is beautifully appointed and a very
comfortable room to relax in. The fantastic kitchen area
is much much bigger than it looks on-line and is
perfect for cooking. The huge table lends itself to
very convivial meal-times and the spot-lighting
creates a warm atmosphere in the evenings.
There is also a Sun-room attached to the kitchen
with white wicker seats and lots of comfy cushions.
It was a lovely place to chill-out during the day
with a cuppa and the papers.
My niece loved running around the generously sized gardens
as well as being brought to a load of places that were ideal
for her age group - all within a half hour of the house.
And even if all the options for fun visits had expired,
which they hadn't, then the miles and miles
of beautiful sandy beaches were just down the road.
Ann is a great host and very welcoming. She was very
helpful with all the information about points of local interest
and further afield. Nothing was too much bother for her
to help with.
If I had one criticism it would be that such a lovely home,
in such a beautiful part of the world makes one very sad
indeed to be leaving after just one week!
Perfect for a few days away
Great. lots of space. We enjoyed it very much. Beach was really close.
Great living space, excellent location!
Set on a big site the house has loads of room outside for kids to play, front & back gardens. Beach is just over 1km away & Gorey is only 20min drive. Great living space downstairs with plenty of room for rainy days. Owner was easy to contact if we needed anything & was really welcoming. Overall, a super house, really suited our needs and would have no hesitation in recommending.
This house is simply out of this world. You will not be disappointed. A home from home every thing you will possibly need is in the house. Close to the beech and with a short drive there is lots of fun things to see and do. Our family had a ball and would go back in the morning. Thanks Ann
