Les Roches is unique villa with beautiful views of the countryside. The villa has six bedrooms, each with private bathrooms, beautiful dining room, salon, library, south facing terrace, kitchen, laundry room and fitness studio.
Les Roches is situated in a historic medieval village of Mont-Saint-Jean with beautiful views of the rolling countryside. Mont-Saint-Jean is located in the heart of Burgundy and is within an easy reach of the famous Burgundy wine areas like Côte-de-Nuits, Côte-de-Beaune and Chablis as well as châteaux, historical sites, medieval villages and many other popular places of interest.
Les Roches was built 1901 and it was commissioned by a Parisian judge. Mr PERROT built the house for his mistress and the face portraits of the mistress can be found on the hand-painted ceiling panels in the dining room as well as over the main entrance door in the form of a stone carving. The architecture of Les Roches is quite unique and the style is called “eclectic” as it combines architectural styles found in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. There are similar styled buildings, which were built during the same period, in Normandy and Biarritz.
The Les Roches property has automatic gates to ensure privacy. There are two self-catering properties at Les Roches (including a 2 bedroom Gardener's Cottage).
