Every room is built to take advantage of the view its a really short Walk to the town and all that Como has to offer. I live in a home with a view and not easily impressed by views. The home has all the creature comforts and modern and updated. The finicular that goes to Brunate which is super close to the house is a must !! great restraunt up there. Barry and Cythia were great timely and easy to deal with ..
A beautiful home with spectacular views!
We were lucky enough to spend a month in this lovely penthouse. It is spacious, well maintained, extremely well equipped and spotless. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get unlike some other places where the pictures and descriptions are often misleading. We never tired of sitting on the terrace taking in the beautiful scenery. Barrie and Julie are wonderful to deal with and eager to assist in any way they can. We definitely recommend this apartment. Tip: if you are driving make sure your vehicle is very small otherwise entering and exiting the garage may be problematic.
Unbelievable Views of the Lake
This was an amazing property and absolutely breathtaking views of Lake Como. Julia and Barrie were great ondeal and took great care of us! We would definitely go back again and again!!
Stunning and BETTER than photos
Gorgeous Villa with mesmerizing views. We were a family of 5. Updated appliances and recently remodeled. Great location and nice short stroll to Lake Como. We loved the kitchen and cooked dinner in every night.
Excellent and Pristine!
With 2 adults and 3 teenagers, this apartment was great! The the living space was wide open, comfortable with amazing decks and views of lake. Apartment was spotless, well equipped and linens were fresh and clean. Barrie and Julie were very helpful in getting us acclimated with the apartment and surrounding area. They are genuinely nice and easy to work with. The only suggestion we would make is to either bring groceries with you upon arrival, or take advantage of Barrie & Julie's offer to stock kitchen for you. The local grocery/market is limited and a good market is a 15-20 minute drive. We highly recommend this apartment!
The property is all it's cracked up to be. Magnificent & 5 minutes walk to the centre of Como.
This property is amazing & only a 5 minute walk to the centre of Como. The photos and the views are exactly what you get but in real lifte they are so much better. It's a magnificent place to just keep coming back to.
Italian appartments were fantastic as were Barrie & Julie. Anything you needed they were more than happy to help with. I could go on & on but just book it and come you won't be disappointed.

Lombardy is one darn popular destination over the winter for Italians, especially for skiers. With just under 800 kilometers of slopes reaching up to 3,450 meters of altitude, any winter tourist should venture to the Italian Alps here in order to enjoy breath-taking views and engage in some earnest skiing.
The Duomo of Milan is regarded as one of the most renowned monuments and points of reference in the whole country. It is a great example of Gothic architecture, a style which does not abound in Italy, and is a stand out metropolitan basilica because of its central location in the Lombard capital. With the original construction dating as far back as 1386, but with modifications and enlargements having taken place over the centuries, this Duomo is always a must-visit.
‘The Last Supper’ is definitely Leonardo da Vinci’s most famous painting. Housed in the refectory of the Convent of the enchanting Santa Maria delle Grazie, in Milan, it is one of the most important masterpieces which are kept in the boot-shaped country as a whole (and there are a lot here). As the title suggests, it depicts Jesus’ last supper with the Apostles and it still counts as one of the finest examples of Leonardo’s masterful technique as well as of the Italian Renaissance at large.
Franciacorta is an area in the province of Brescia that is to Italy what Champagne is to France. It is in fact one of the most famous wine-making areas in northern Italy and is especially renowned for its production of Franciacorta – a cheaper Italian counterpart of champagne. Besides offering this great tipple to the nearby area as well as to the country at large, it also offers an enchanting countryside that melts into the mountains and the hills nearby. It definitely merits a visit, a cycling tour or a walk.

Villa del Balbianello
This estate is situated on the western bank of the lake and offers an enchanting view of the area. It can be reached either by boat or through a short hike and it features a wonderful garden with beautiful flowers and plants. These embrace a building dating back to the late 16th century and create a combination of art and nature that is hard to find elsewhere. It is a must both for nature lovers and for those who do not want to miss out on the historical buildings of the area.
Duomo of Como
This beautiful cathedral is something every tourist in the area should visit. Whether you are spending your holidays on Lake Como or visiting Milan, this Duomo is one of the best cathedrals you can see in Lombardy. Admissions are free-of-charge and the outside of the building creates expectations which the inside will meet. If a visit is not enough, tourists are more than welcome to sit at the tables of the restaurants and bars in the square in front of the Duomo, in order to enjoy the delightful view.
Basilica of Sant’Abbondio
This is one of the oldest churches in the area. In fact, the Basilica of Sant’Abbondio dates back to the 5th century AD. The apparent lack of décor is balanced by an apse which is highly ornamented with wonderful frescoes dating back to the mid-14th century. This building is curious also because it was constructed over different periods and visitors can still see how it was shaped by the trends of each epoch. There is nothing better if you want to experience some real history and art on Como.
Museum Moto Guzzi
This museum is certainly appealing to those who have a passion for motorcycles and engines in general. It will take guests through various periods of history and illustrate the development of engines and motorcycles by displaying vehicles from different epochs. Admission is free-of-charge and its location makes it an easy stop-off while touring through the various villages on the lake. Not to be missed if you want to find out more about Italian motorcycles.
The Botanic Gardens are a part of the Hotel Villa Cipressi, a wonderful building on the lake which was built in the 1400s. The garden is open to the public, whereas the rest of the building belongs to the hotel and its restaurant. The Botanic Garden is a century-old beauty which touches the lake and features several plants and flowers which nature lovers will adore.
