Peaceful woodland location on the edge of Snowdonia at the foot of Cader Idris.

Set in the beautiful foot hills of Snowdonia, within the wooded park of Plas Panteidal, nestles the delightful Y Bwthyn holiday chalet.

The chalet park is on the banks of the river Dyfi and only a few miles from the picturesque village of Aberdovey, with its beaches and aquatic sports activity.

The chalet makes an ideal base to explore the area and enjoy the many activities and walks that abound.

The site is located at the foot of the lovely Cader Idris Mountain range on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and near the resorts and beauty spots of Cardigan Bay. The beautiful harbour village of Aberdovey with its' renowned mild climate, sandy beaches, sailing and championship golf course is about 3 miles away. There are many out door opportunities close – sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, yachting, rock climbing, abseiling, hill

walking, pony trekking, sea fishing and more. The chalet park is set in 40 acres of steeply rising woodside overlooking the scenic splendour of the Dovey Estuary.A delightful wooden chalet at Plas Panteidal on the edge of Snowdonia near Aberdovey. The chalet is set in woodland but has partial views of the Dovey Estuary.

Dogs are welcome by arrangement at a slight extra cost.

The chalet is recently decorated and insulated and has an air conditioner and de-humidifier.

It is three bedrooms sleeping six which comprises one with a double bed and two with two single beds each.

There is free parking next to the chalet and additional parking nearby.The chalet is close to the picturesque village of Aberdovey and there are numerous sporting activities nearby.

From the site there are stunning views of the Estuary and the Mountains.

It is in the grounds of the old palace of the Bishop of Bangor and close to places associated with Arthurian legend and local Fables.

Bookings are normally from the Saturday until the following Saturday and the weekly price varies from £200 per week to £450 per week in the high season.

To avoid light pollution the site is unlit so torches are advised.

Please note the water is supplied from an onsite spring and boiled or bottled water should be used for cooking and teeth washing etc.

Owner's Response: I found Aivars a very nice guest. I cannot comment on some areas of his stay as I am not on site, so for instance I have rated him five for cleanliness, but this is a measure of my lack of knowledge, not of the guest. General communication was extremely good I he was very cooperative.

Very tired

This chalet was as the photos suggested however the chalet was very tired and in need of some wasn't particularly clean, the chests of drawers in two of the rooms were broken and one of the single beds had seen better days. There was however a delightful view and the owner was accepting of criticism in fact he said that the very next weekend he would ensure repairs were made. We did have a lovely few days away

Owner's Response: I am sorry this guest found the chalet "very tired and in need of some TLC". The chalet is in a processes of scheduled refurbishment since March of this year. Regarding the cleanliness guests are asked to ensure the chalet is clean and tidy when they depart and in addition the chalet is cleaned between bookings by a professional cleaning company. We also ask guests to let us know on arrival if the chalet is not clean so we can arrange for the cleaners to re-attend.When we visited the chalet on the guests departure we could find no significant problems with the chests of drawers, One of the windows did have a broken locking rod presumably caused by a guest being heavy handed. It is not possible to determine when this damage was caused but earlier guests had not mentioned any problems. The net take from these guests was approximately £2 per person per day which we believe is extremely good value for money. On a positive note I am glad the guest had a lovely few days.

Quiet retreat.

Owners Hugh and Liz emailed plenty of information about the Chalet, the map was very useful and plan of the Chalet, Once we settled in and got familiar with the site, it was great to wind down and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Lovely to watch the local wildlife birds and rabbits running around,

Chalet is well stocked and once you have made your beds up its very comfy.

i recommend this chalet ,for a nice quiet retreat to re/charge your batteries , Local shops only 10 min drive away, and beautiful scenery all the way along all roads.

Beautiful place to stay!

The chalet was nice and spacious, with everything you could possibly need. We took our son (10months old), all 3 of us had a lovely time, the area is just stunning. Tranquil and picturesque. I would highly recommend staying here.
