Beautiful place by the beach
Had a wonderful stay in Kauai! Great house with a small pool in a shared garden area. Was perfect for my wife and I with our 3 year old. One block walk to the beach and easy walk/drive to multiple restaurants and other activities. The grill was a plus. Very laid back atmosphere on the island. Would definitely stay there again.
Lovely villa in the perfect location
This property is on a little residential street, maybe three houses in from the beachfront road and a 5-minute walk to the Baby Beach (and coffee/bakery - pineapple muffins, mmmmm) at Poipu. We didn’t know what to expect with the property or the island in general, but it was wonderful. Nice to be in a little beach house and not in a big hotel or complex. We didn’t use the pool too much, as it wasn’t heated, but the nearby baby beach has zero waves (and the occasional beached sea turtle) so we wouldn’t have spent much time by a pool anyway. The 2-BR, 1 bath villa was comfortable, nicely renovated and the property was beautifully landscaped. There’s also an outdoor shower on the property, complete with shampoo, etc., which was great after a long day at the beach. (My 3-year-old loved it.) I’m already plotting our next trip back, and we would stay here in a heartbeat.
Wonderful house for 2 adults and 2 kids, and so close to the beach!
We stayed for a week at the Beach cottage. It’s was right next to the pool, which was chilly (it was January) but the kids still played in it. Even better though was nearby Poipu Beach for snorkeling and sand castles. A super short walk to the beach, so easy to see the sunsets every night. We liked being in a quiet neighborhood versus a resort, and the neighbor gave us apple bananas and great local suggestions for food and beaches.
We had a couple minor issues with the WiFi and kitchen sink, but the owner and assistant were super helpful and fixed everything right away. The kitchen had all that we needed to make meals, and the onsite laundry was helpful. It was a perfect place for our stay and we would definitely come back again!
Lovely spot and well managed
Very good management and attention when we needed it. Great location but very disappointed that pool was too cold to enjoy. It was the big draw to that property 😕
Surprised by the 3 starts. The pool is a black bottom pool that averages between 77 and 82 degrees. It is heated by the sun. Most of our guest find the pool perfect, especially after coming back from the beach. The week these guest were here was very stormy and cold....something we can't control. We appreciate the positive feedback.
Great Location, useful kitchen, and nice pool!
The location couldn’t have been better for a family with a one year old and a three year old. We could walk to the baby cove on Poipu beach and to the play scape. The kitchen was perfect. We had breakfast every morning and cooked dinner or lunch every day.
Renting baby stuff from a local company was awesome and we spent almost every day on the beach. We also spent a day finding waterfalls and Waimea Canyon.
A few things to note before your stay :
Back door was hard to close and front door was easy to open. We brought baby proof door knobs for the kids which gave us piece of mind with the pool.
Without ac nights were humid and sometimes hot. Being from Texas we are use to air conditioning, but it worked out better for us than we expected.
The grill could use a new grid, some spray for cleaning counters, extra toilet paper and coffee filter would have also been nice to have when we arrived. It would have also been nice to have cooking oil and spices. We bought a bunch of stuff and left it for the next guests.
Some recommendations : Big Save is an 8 min drive and good for groceries.
Take a walk all the way down poi pu beach; it’s beautiful at sunset with monk seals and turtles.
There are flowers everywhere on the the ground. Put fresh flowers in your hair every morning :).
Over all we loved our stay
The coffee makers don't need filters. They are built in. We provide two extra rolls of TP in each bathroom to start. If a guest needs more, we are only a phone call away. We are no providing Clorox wipes for the kitchens besides paper towels. As for spices, because of the humidity on the island we stoped providing them as guest complained they got clumpy and damp. This is one we cant win! We always try our best and appreciate feed back to get better. Aloha and enjoy the island spirit!
