The cottage is in Sleat on the Isle of Skye, commonly known as "The Garden" of Skye. It is right by the shore of Camus Cross Bay beside the picturesque village of Isle Ornsay. This, a crofting village of whitewashed cottages, once was a busy harbour for fishing boats. It has views overlooking a beautiful lighthouse. The local Hotel Eilean Iarmain has good food and a welcoming bar often with live music and Ceilidhs. The Misty Isle of Skye has the most spectacular scenery. It is dominated by the magnificent Cuillin Range which can be seen from many points of the island, each offering another breathtaking view. Skye is filled with places to go - historic interest and wonderful scenery.
