3 Bedroom, two bathroom, level and beautiful garden right beside the beach.
The view from Cruard Cottage is stunning looking over to Knoydart and the mainland of Scotland. The ever changing light sequences can be breathtaking - inspirational. Each room of the cottage has clear views to the sea. From the upstairs bedrooms, when the tide is in you almost feel that you are at sea! There is a low tide beach right outside the door - great for walks and exploring.
The cottage itself is a traditional Island house. Inside it is modern and finished to a high standard. It has three rooms and sleeps five comfortably with a trundle bed for the sixth person. It has two bathrooms. The lounge has a sleek hole-in-the-wall wood burning fire. We supply wood and coal. The Kitchen will be the hub of things with a large beautiful teak dining table capable of seating 8- 10 people. It is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, dryer (on request) baking trays, and baking utensils, cast-iron pans, a full range of kitchen cutlery and crockery, tea towels, place mats, glasses, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner and cleaning equipment.
Facilities on offer include Sky TV, broadband and wireless internet connection, local phone calls, DVD Player, CD Player with a selection of CDs and DVDs available to choose from, books and a selection of local tourist information, maps and leaflets. A hairdryer is also available.
The cottage is in Sleat on the Isle of Skye, commonly known as "The Garden" of Skye. It is right by the shore of Camus Cross Bay beside the picturesque village of Isle Ornsay. This, a crofting village of whitewashed cottages, once was a busy harbour for fishing boats. It has views overlooking a beautiful lighthouse. The local Hotel Eilean Iarmain has good food and a welcoming bar often with live music and Ceilidhs. The Misty Isle of Skye has the most spectacular scenery. It is dominated by the magnificent Cuillin Range which can be seen from many points of the island, each offering another breathtaking view. Skye is filled with places to go - historic interest and wonderful scenery.

Lovely cottage in a stunning location.
This was our first trip to Skye for nearly twenty years and this lovely cottage was an ideal base. Cosy with an open fire along with stunning views make this place a home from home.
We’re planning our return already!
Thanks for your great comments. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the booking and you're welcome to visit again!
The Cuillin Range is spectacular. The best view of it is in Elgol where you can also take a trip on a rib to the small islands of Eigg, Rum, Canna and Muck and view whales, dolphins, seals and puffin.
