SCARBOROUGH CENTRE - 2 bedroom house (WIFI), perfect for families or 2 couples.

Bedrooms 2
Property type house
Minimum Stay 1 - 7 nights

About the property

Only minutes from the train station . Perfect for a short break or longer stay.

Why pay for B&B ???

Number 53 is a 2 bedroom terrace house perfectly located for Scarborough's many amenities. It is very close to bars, restaurants, supermarkets, rail and bus links. There is no need for a car but if you do travel by car and need parking we can supply free passes for street parking. This can be limited at certain times of the year and so you may not be able to park directly outside but the free passes can also be used in adjacent streets.

The house has a comfy lounge with flat screen tv and WIFI. There is a dining area for 5 people. The kitchen is small but very well equipped with all the usual necessities, cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer. Outside is a lean to with washing machine and a very tiny yard!

Upstairs is a lovely double bedroom with ANOTHER flat screen TV. It has a mirrored wardrobe with plenty of storage space and a chest of drawers.

The second bedroom is very versatile. It has a chest of drawers and a small double bed ( 4 foot) that could possibly accommodate a couple or a couple of children. There is also a fold down bed should your children not be too keen on bunking with their siblings.

The bathroom is newly installed with an L shaped shower bath, loo and washbasin.

There is very little outdoor space but it does have a very small back yard and sainsburys park just around the corner.

Fabulous property, everything you could need, clean, centrally located

  • 5 of 5

I booked this property for my grandparents to stay in on their visit from Northern Ireland. The house was immaculately clean with everything they could possible need for their stay, including the use of a washing machine if needed. The house is in a great location, within walking distance of town and there are plenty of shops close by. It is quite hard to find a parking space but this is to be expected as it is a busy residential street and they always managed to get one. They had an absolutely amazing time and would have loved to have stayed another week, they will definitely be back again.

Property serves everything advertised

  • 4 of 5

No frills but everything one might need was available. It was clean. Very good location. Good value for the money. We managed to find parking space most days without issue. The only think I can critisize is the double bed lacking comfort as it seems worn.

Owner's Response: Hi Birol Thanks for your review. Sorry to hear that you didn't like the bed. It was brand new 6 weeks ago so I suppose it's all a matter of personal choice. As you said you'll be back , I'll look forward to seeing you again. Thanks.

I spent 3hrs cleaning before cooking hungry tired children their tea. This has been the worst experience of using holiday houses in 15 years. The kitchen was horrific. Appliances were filthy. A nice new bathroom and pretty decor hid old dangerous gas appliances and TVs that were useless. No wifi caused 2 days missed work. We will not be rebooking. Should you wish to see photographs prior to my cleaning I will welcome the opportunity to send them. For a disabled mother this was horrific start to finish. We stayed only because the heatwave caused every other property to be booked out.

Owner's Response: I find this review absolutely unbelievable. I allowed this guest to arrive early and so we were in contact by text and telephone. She never once mentioned any of the cleaning issues she says she encountered. As soon as she informed me there was a problem with the wifi I offered to go to the house immediately. She refused and said she would prefer me to wait until they had left. When they did leave this was a simple issue that was corrected in minutes. Had she allowed me into the house there wouldn't have been a problem. With regard to the gas appliances, The house only has a boiler and gas cooker. The boiler is about 2 years old and both appliances were issued with a gas safety certificate at the beginning of May. I really don't know what this guest is talking about. To be honest the house was left very untidy, bottles, chocolate wrappers, clothes labels etc, everywhere. I am truly amazed that during the many texts with this guest there was no mention of any of the above issues the guest says she encountered. I have been in the hospitality industry of many years and most of my guest ratings are 5 star. During those many years I once received a 3 star. I am truly astounded.
