About Walter and Shelley Lamle
We are a family of four from Oklahoma that travels with extra family and friends all the time. We love Colorado, especially Southwest Colorado and love this location and home! This location for us is so great because it's breathtakingly beautiful, the summers have the best weather and there's so much to do here, plus the winters are their own kind of gorgeous with the snow peaked mountains and all the great winter activities. This particular location is so wonderful because it's in a very peaceful setting with lots of privacy, but you can also be to Durango in 25 minutes and Pagosa Springs in 50 minutes.
Walter and Shelley Lamle purchased this House in 2014
Why Walter and Shelley Lamle chose Bayfield
We bought this property first because of it's views. We love it for so many reasons.....the views, the daily wildlife sightings, the trails just outside our home and the coziness of the home. The location is amazing as well with so many things to do in all directions of our home.

Best Christmas Ever
It was our first family trip to Colorado and it was amazing!!! The house was incredible. Cozy and packed with everything you could need. Shelly really makes it feel like you are at home. If I could give it 10 stars I would! The kitchen is full stocked, back deck views are amazing and the hot tub was a perfect e s to our busy snow days! I highly recommend this home! We will be back many more times!!!
Great base camp for SW Colorado!
As always, this property never disappoints! It is a great location and serves as a perfect base camp for day trips to Durango, Silverton, Ouray, Telluride and Mesa Verde. Absolutely love the beautiful vista.
Could not have been better
There's absolutely nothing I can say bad about this property. Beautiful views. Roomy. Clean. Everything you need is here. This was a three night stop on our way to the north rim and we found ourselves wishing we'd planned our vacation differently and spent more time here. Many thanks to Shelley and the caretaker for everything.
We were a group of 3 couples on motorcycles. we enjoyed our stay here. There were great views and many nice amenities. The hot tub was great in the evenings. It had everything we needed. The driveway has a fairly sharp angle onto gravel that could be a bit challenging on a motorcycle but other than that no concerns at all.
