I am a local restaurant owner and love all that Portland has to offer from the downtown foodie scene to the incredible outdoor adventures. Brian is a local real estate broker and enjoys getting to know the local community as well as those that are moving here. We love touring houses and learning more about each of the unique communities surrounding the Portland area. Brian and I have both grown up here and know what makes Portland truly special. We are lifers!
Maya purchased this Bungalow in 2014
Why Maya chose Brooklyn
I am in love with older homes! I purchased this duplex in order to restore its original glory and live in it myself. We have remodeled and lived in the upstairs apartment (the VRBO) and love the look, feel and craftsmanship of this house. We chose this house because we love being close to downtown and all that Portland has to offer. This duplex offered the ease of living/working downtown whilst also avoiding the common problems that come with. The neighborhood is friendly, quiet and kids play in the streets yet it is only a quick trip to enjoy the more lively nightlife on Division st.
What makes this Bungalow unique
From the moment you walk up this house will embrace and surprise you. Made by a craftsman in 1908 for his beloved daughter, it has a classic Dutch Colonial style. Enjoy the little touches like a small patio off of your kitchen or the clawfoot tub.

Very quaint house in a beautiful neighborhood near downtown Portland
Such a beautiful house, very quaint and comfortable! The patio off the kitchen is fantastic! You feel like you’re in the trees! I would highly recommend this house, it is very comfy and cozy.
Great little bungalow in a great spot that has easy access to Portland.
Property was wonderful but had a few issues
We stayed in Portland September 2018 and the home itself was great. The space was big enough (2 adults and a dog), bed was comfortable, kitchen was adequately equipped (could have used a hood fan in the kitchen as we cook a lot but otherwise was great). The use of the BBQ was a nice addition! The location was ideal since I was there for a business trip and it was close to downtown (less then 10 min drive even in traffic). The only issue we had was upon our arrival. The apartment was not cleaned after the last visitor but Maya was quick to respond to our situation and it was cleaned within the hour. We were able to unpack and settle in. Wish I could say we had time to explore the area but we did not have time to visit Portland with the exception of walks around the neighbourhood. Since the home is quite old, be prepared to hear the downstairs travellers as well especially if they tend to be loud. Thanks again Maya for your quick response!
Great spot in a quiet neighborhood
The apartment was perfect for our needs. It was very quiet and clean. We lost the WiFi for a bit and Maya responded quickly to get it reconnected. There are steep stairs as you come in the door so carrying luggage or bikes up is a bit of a struggle but they are painted so cute 😉. We would definitely come again as it is within riding distance of our daughters home. Thanks!
Fantastic Place for a Family Vacation in Portland!
We stayed in this awesome bungalow for 5 nights - and loved every minute of it! The location is ideal for all of the things we like to do in Portland - OMSI, Zoo, Oaks Amusement Park, Concerts in the Park, Movies at the Pool, etc. - so fun!
We were greeted by a clean, fresh and air-condition atmosphere upon arrival; which was lovely given the temperatures outside.
We never had any trouble parking right in front of the house, which delighted and amazed me.
The bed is super comfortable - my kids and I slept very well in it - it's huge, yet cozy!
Maya is a great host - excellent communications from start to finish.
We hope to stay here again!
Perfect for our family of 4
Comfortable beds, great location, cozy apartment. Had everything we needed. Maya immediately responded if we needed anything. I would stay here again if we come back to Portland. It was wonderful.
