Langdale is a quaint 3 storey terrace town house dating back to the mid 18th century. The property retains many period features to include exposed beams, lintels and wooden latch doors. Updated by a popular renowned builder the property presents very attractive accommodation, which is exceptionally well maintained and deceptively spacious. Entrance to the property is via a historic studded plank door, leading into the lounge. The lounge has stone flagged flooring, window to the front and a feature fireplace with stone surround and flagged hearth. The kitchen has a range of Oak units to include a porcelain sink and half with drainer, Esse gas fired cooker and a washing machine. Window to the rear looks out onto the School field with fells beyond. There is a door to the rear leading to the passage way with access to the rubbish store and Back Lane. The kitchen has a dining space and open staircase to the first floor. On the first floor there is the house bathroom with W.C, vanity sink, bath and shower cubicle. To the front there is one double bedroom with a useful walk in wardrobe and also a single bedroom. On the top floor there is a good sized sitting room, with beautiful fell views, feature exposed stone wall and a wall mounted gas fire. There is also a spacious double bedroom on this floor with ensuite shower room and fitted wardrobe. Velux windows on this level make these two rooms lovely and bright. A lovely town house within the Dales market Town of Sedbergh, also positioned within the conservation area.

Perfect in every way!
A very impressive, beautiful cottage for our Easter stay, perfect for two couples and one baby. We walked in to a warm, homely place with a bottle of prosecco on the table and even Cute Easter decorations around the house. The location is just perfect in a stunning village with great cafes and restaurants and perfect for walks too. There are gorgeous views across the rolling hills. A huge bath to relax in. Board games in front of the (electric) fireplace. A great local
pub down the road The Dalesman for a drink in front of the fire or Sunday lunch.
Kitchen is big and well stocked with everything you need for cooking/serving/eating/drinking.
Would definitely return again.
Host Emily was also extremely helpful!

Beautiful cottage in Sedbergh
We went to Sedbergh for a two nights stay and enjoyed every minute of it. The property was easy to find as we were given clear directions by the owners. The cottage is impressively spacious and we love the way it is decorated. It displays some original features and has antiques and quirky ornaments dotted everywhere. We also like the fact that there is two living rooms which are totally different. The one downstairs is more cosy and traditional and has multiple lamps to create a warm atmosphere while the one upstairs is more modern and has a good sized TV. The kitchen is large with an Esse range which keeps it warm and has a large wooden table which we also used to play games on. I must say we had problems understanding how the range worked as we usually cook with electric hobs and ovens but this added to the fun! The double bedrooms are spacious and have plenty storage. the en-suite bedroom upstairs is large and connects to the second living room giving the upstairs some privacy if needed. I must not forget to mention the beautiful views from the back windows especially the top living room , the many walks available from the town and the friendly attitude of the locals towards us. Thank you for a lovely break.
Thank you so much, Mylene, for taking the time to write such a thorough and generous review. I am so pleased that you enjoyed our Cottage. I really do hope that you will come and stay again very soon.
Kindest regards to you all

Comfortable Cosy Get Away
Just spent the New Year at this comfortable, warm and spacious cottage. We were very well catered for with a well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size with ample hot water. The cottage was warm and inviting after a day on the fells. We would love to return again in the future
Wonderful, Lisa, thank you for your kind review. Happy New Year to you all and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2018.

Perfect cosy cottage in stunning location- great christmas getaway
We spent 4 days over Christmas in the cottage- our family of 5 plus the dog. Our first Christmas holiday and it was a big hit!
The cottage is in a great location, easily accessible from the M6 and right on the Main Street of Sedbergh. Sedbergh is a very pretty quaint village, with several pubs and eateries. We frequented the Dalesman Country Inn with a lovely fire and games such as solitaire and dominoes. We had no time to visit the Three Hares but it was always packed- apparently the place to go.
The downstairs of the cottage is really traditional- stone floors, aga, no TV or radio and was really charming. We had fun getting the hang of the aga for our Christmas dinner! The stone hearth and electric fire in the lounge were perfect for drying wet boots which we had to do each day. The 2nd two floors were immaculately finished with quality bedding and furniture and super thick curtains (we all had mega lie ins as no light got through!!) and the most enormous bed on the top floor. The top floor also had a little sitting room with a TV, where we watched films in the evening. The top floor was a little cold but a hot water bottle was provided which was used and there were plenty of extra blankets both for the beds and for sitting at the sofas. We had a real old fashioned Christmas there.
We had three days out- Cautley Spout Waterfall which is worth a visit, even on a gloomy day, the amazing Ingleton Waterfalls and then a trip further north to Haweswater to track down some snow. There are also great walks you can do straight from the property- we walked the dog down part of these and had the weather been better or had we been there for longer, we would have explored the local walking further.
We did not meet the hosts, Emily and Roger, but they had thoughtfully set out a few Christmas decorations and a Christmas card and bottle of fizz which was really lovely!
Only downsides- we couldn't find a tin opener anywhere nor any yellow OS maps. However the tourist info is literally 50 metres away and they are well stocked for maps. There is no parking- but a large car park again about 50-100 metres away or sometimes parking in the layby behind the house. Plenty of games and jigsaws were provided at the property for good family entertainment as well as many books if you forgot your own.
I really recommend the property- it was really lovely.
