About the property

Waterside lodge by the estuary, with parking, garden, patio & superb views.

Waterside Lodge is a detached bijou residence located besides the Salcombe estuary, at Batson Creek. The lodge has recently been completely rebuilt and refurbished. There is a southerly facing garden. This is predominantly lawn, with some shrubs and borders, that go to the very edge of the creek. There is private parking for one vehicle and a public slipway by the entrance to the property.

The Lodge caters for 2 guests. It has a separate en-suite shower room with wash basin and WC. The rest of the property is open-plan incorporating a small bespoke kitchen, dining/living area plus sleeping area. There are large glazed doors leading onto the garden patio area, facing the estuary

The patio over looks the estuary. Being south facing, this receives sun for most of the day, making it a great space for relaxing, eating outside etc. The view is down the creek towards Salcombe and to open countryside.

Holiday home at the water's edge.

An attractively presented little studio for two in a beautifully tranquil location. Set on the side of Batson Creek off the beautiful Salcombe estuary, there is interest for birders as the tides come and go exposing their feeding grounds on the mud flats. Superbly built property with timber floors and ceiling but lacking some homely essentials, particularly if self catering eg freezer or at least freezer box in fridge, improved lighting over kitchen work tops and cleaning tools. It is however, only a short walk into Salcombe if eating out. A beautiful patio and walled garden add to the pleasure of the the property IF the weather is good!

Nice location, property has all you need

Really lovely position by the side of Batson Creek and from the outside deck or garden you can sit & watch the wildlife or the water come in.

Very peaceful yet an easy stroll into Salcombe.

The property had been converted to a high standard and everything was clean and fresh. The kitchen had everything you could need, even a nice bottle of Proseco!

Tranquil location

We wanted a nice and relaxing break and that's exactly what we got. This detached property was the perfect size for the two of us. Not only is it situated in a beautiful setting overlooking the creek but it also has its own lovely garden. We were pleasantly surprised how easy it was to walk into Salcombe - an easy stroll along the creekside. The property was even better than it looks on the website.

Ab Fab

Peaceful location but an easy walk into the buzz of Salcombe. The lodge was surprisingly spacious and was all we hoped for and needed for the week. We'd be more than happy to stay here again.

The Winking Prawn is located at North Sands beach. The Winking Prawn has extensive outside seating and serves breakfasts, lunch and dinner. This is an ideal venue for informal al fresco dining for all of the family and a favourite place for many locals.

Captain Morgans - 4.5 stars

Located in the centre of Salcombe on Fore Street, this is a small Cafe serving excellent breakfasts, light lunches and takeaway beverages etc. There is ‘inside’ seating as well outside seating overlooking the harbour. A good place to drop in on when shopping in Salcombe!

The Crab Shed - 4.5 stars

Overlooking the harbour from Fish Quay, The Crab Shed is a new Salcombe restaurant that specialises in serving fresh locally caught seafood delivered straight from the Quay.

Captain Flints (children friendly) -

Established for over 25 years in Salcombe, Captain Flints has always been a favourite with the kids and offers a good selection of dishes firmly aimed at family dining. No need to book just turn up (and possibly queue).

Dick and Wills - 4 stars

A contemporary bar and brassiere in the middle of Salcombe offering al fresco dining from a terrace overlooking the sea.

South Sands Hotel -

This is a contemporary boutique hotel overlooking South Sands beach towards the mouth of the Salcombe estuary. A fine dining experience from an extensive menu. It is always worth checking the Hotel’s website for promotions and special events in the restaurant.

Salcombe Harbour Hotel and Spa -

The Hotel is only a short walk from Waterside. There is a waterside restaurant with panoramic views of the estuary and a large a la carte menu on offer.
