Not perfect but would stay again
This was our 4th stay at the Sands Beach Resort. Our 3rd stay using homeaway. The resort itself never fails to disappoint. Ideal location, lovely pools, nice and quiet and a great suntrap.
This apartment was adequate for our needs. It is a bit basic. There are no cooking facilities (Which worked in my favour! lol) other than a 2 ring hob. We decided we would have breakfast at the apartment every day to save some money. However when looking, we found there was no frying pan available - a very basic item of kitchen utensils especially when a hob is all you have to cook on! There were various saucepans, glass oven dishes (But no oven?) a sieve, etc but no frying pan, although we did find a spatula!
The wardrobe doors in the bedroom do need some serious attention. We tried to move them when we first arrived but found they didnt want to slide across, they were very stiff and hard to move, but they were extremely wobbly the other way and felt like they were going to fall out into the bedroom. We decided to just leave them where they were and not use the hanging space, just the shelves!
Some areas of the apartment do need a little tlc. It doesnt affect the stay or the amenities, but would just look nicer to the eye. The skirting in the kitchen area is very worn, broken and tatty looking.
A maintenance man in here for half a day would make a big difference.
That said, the shower is one of the best I've ever used! The beds were very comfortable. The apartment is in a good location and does face the sun for most of the day, however as it has an upstairs apartment you do get a lot of shade on the terrace compared to the one storey apartments, but a little imagination with the furniture and its all good.
Overall we thought this apartment was good value for money and we would stay here again. It would be nice though to see the small jobs needed had been done and a frying pan bought!

Property situated in a fantastic location on the complex. Quiet and unobstructed. Apartment does what it ‘says on the tin’ serviceable and basic. Would definitely stay again.

Very disappointed with the apartment.
Not clean still old dust under furniture along with dead cockroach. No internet.
Poor tv only Spanish channels.wardrobe doors not sliding as designed.Awful lingering smell throughout the apartment suspect this down to mouldy wall and headboard,this concealed behind fold down bed.corner unit dangerous when opening doors unit tips forward. Kitchen skirting next to fridge peeling from wall.lower kitchen doors need rehanging. No frying pan no iron or ironing board. Bath tap squirting water everywhere. Loose coffe table top.outside furniture not used very old and worn needs replacing. Weeds growing up through the drainage pipe. Paint peeling off the outside walls. We loved the complex but the apartment needs a full refurb we would not stay again or recommend this apartment to anyone. We have photos but not able to upload as no facilities to do so on this review.

Good sized property, good location. Property was very dirty on arrival, we found a floor brush and were able to brush up a decent sized pile of dust and hair. Rotten wood along bottom of kitchen cupboard and generally could do with some upkeep maintenence

Not as nice as last year
Came back to this villa as last April it was fab, This time wasn’t impressed, when we arrived the last people were still on patio, we knew that we were going to arrive early as on early flight, the owner knew this and agreed to let us leave our bags which we did and went out for lunch. On arriving back place had been cleaned but not very well. I went out and bought cleaning product to do again myself. On closer inspection we noticed bathroom light wasn’t working we reported it but had to cope for night with no light in there. Next morning they car to fix, but it went again 4further times which was annoying. Next we noticed broken draw in kitchen which was broken, stained cushions in lounge area. Which again reported draw taken away and promised to bring back when fixed it never arrived... Opened cupboards the crockery was miss macthed and not enough for 6 people again promised more which never arrived. In end we made most off most off it and got on with. Till last couple days when we were woke up buy policenockig on door with sands staff asking for our passports, how we payed and how much we payed and how long we were staying. This was embarrassing as loads people sitting having breakfast and watching. Owner didn’t seam bothered as they checking on her not us!!! We will use home and away but never this villa again
Thank you Lisa and we are sorry the apartment did not suit your needs this year. Your experience does not seem to sync with other current reviews. We do suggest perhaps a larger apartment on one of the other plazas as realistically this one is suitable for 4 persons.
This is our recommendedd occupancy . With regard to check in times yes we do try and accomade but of course we need adequate time to prepare from a departure to an arrival. We hope you continue you use sands resort .
Apartment was perfect, had everything we needed for our stay. Very well equipped. Refurbishment is lovely. Excellent straight out of apartment onto swimming pool and close to beach, shops and restaurants. I visit Costa Teguise alot and would definitely stay here again.
