Coquina Beach is a 40-unit, gulf-front complex, giving it a feeling of intimacy. Amenities include a heated swimming pool, tennis court, picnic area, a charcoal grill and two gas grills.

This remodeled upstairs unit has a view of the gulf from the loft. A lovely spot for your morning coffee, the 'Crow's Nest' is also a favorite play area for the kids. Speaking of kids, we have a selection of puzzles, games, and videos for their enjoyment when a break from the hot sun is needed.

About Susan

Frank was raised in Pittsburgh, played football at Georgia Tech and is a huge Steeler fan. Susan was raised in New York, and was a gymnast at Ithaca College. We met in Atlanta and our now raising our daughters on the east coast of South Florida.

Why Susan chose Florida South Central Gulf Coast

The second we drove over the Sanibel causeway we knew we had found the location for our vacation home. The relaxing, non-commercial feel of the island had an immediate affect on us. It is easy to forget about the hustle and bustle of our daily lives when we are here, which is exactly what we were looking for.

What makes this condo unique

What we love about our property is that it is steps to the pool or to the beach. It is a small complex so it has a family feel to it. You can either be social and get to know the other friendly guests or keep to yourself and do your own thing. The local restaurants are wonderful here, all offer take out if you are not in the mood to go out. We have our favorites that we frequent on every visit. The Lazy Flamingo (Best clam chowder and the kids love the teriyaki wings) and Schnapper's (Forgetaboutit) and of course Dairy Queen (the only fast food rest. on the island) for a Blizzard.

great location - beautiful unit

Unit is comfortable and great--- works best for 2 couples or 3 singles so everyone has "their" space. Owner has all the right stuff there for cooking, and it was a pleasure to stay once again. Will certainly be back. Beach is so accessible, and sunrises at Sanibel must be the best in the world. This unit is almost midway in the island, and very accessible to both ends of the island, as well as grocery stores, shops, and restaurants. Bicycles are definitely the way to go here to avoid the seasonal traffic.

better than home

Wonderful place. Clean, very well equipped and furnished. lots of games, videos, etc.. Loft is extra special. Location could not be better. literally, steps to beach, pool, tennis. golf course a 1/2 mile away. easy to causeway and periwinkle but far enough away not to be impacted by traffic. complex is small. I have yet to meet anyone (guest or owner)who was not friendly, considerate, etc..

Recommend for a family or adults. Nearby resturants: lighthouse(br, lunch, dinner), pinnochios ice cream(both accessible by car, bike or walk). grandma dots at marina also good. if never been to sanibel I recommend the 'thriller' boat ride since you get to see sanibel/captiva from the water side.

think of renting/bringing bke and leave the car parked. did have one malfunction of a/c--fixed almost immediately by very responsive staff.

We spent the week before Thanksgiving at this lovely unit and it was a near-perfect vacation. Had never visited Sanibel in the fall - highly recommend it!
