To the rear of the house there is a small yard with outdoor dining furniture. The large entrance hall with the original stone-flagged floors is the ideal space to store bikes, wellies or buckets and spades.

Lovely Georgian Townhouse, Pefect Holiday Destination
My boyfriend and I stayed at the townhouse for a short break during April and had a wonderful time. The property is beautifully decorated, well equipt and very comfortable and cosy. There is so much to see and do in the area, we particularly enjoyed Alnwick Castle which was no more than a ten minute walk away. The only complaint we have is that we didn't stay long enough!
The host, Jenny, was really lovely. She left us a bottle of wine and some biscuits for our arrival and was more than happy to help us with anything we needed. She was even more than happy to post me the clothes I accidentally left in the cupboard!
Overall, this property is wonderful and I'd definitely stay here again. I thoroughly recommend staying here!
Thanks for your lovely review; we are delighted that you had such a great time and would love to welcome you back any time that you head north! Best wishes, Jenny
A fabulous property to spend Christmas at!
The house is beautifully decorated and so homely as soon as you walk in the door. A well equipped kitchen as well as household extras you don't always find. The house was very cosy and warm and lovely with the wood burning stove. We had a great Christmas and week staying here. Excellent communication with Jenny before and during our stay. Jenny couldn't have made us more welcome. The house is well located in the centre of Alnwick. Would be lovely to stay again and would highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic really enjoyed are break away
Amazing place to stay , beautiful as soon as you walk in . A nice welcome with the flowers, bottle of prosecco and biscuits. All we can say is we loved it so much and we would definitely stay again. Jenny thank you so much .
Lovely period property in a minute's walking distance from Alnwick town centre
Cosey, charming, well maintained, fully equipped kitchen, including a decent oven and reasonable basic set of cooking condiments - oil etc. Decent towels.
Welcomed with Prosecco, biscuits and milk; lovely!
Great for walking access to the many eateries of Alnwick. The castle and gardens are only a few minutes walk away too. Hardly any need to get in the car.
Would definitely consider hiring again.
Lovely stay at a beautiful and convenient property
The property was stunning and we loved it as soon as we opened the front door. As well as the beautiful decor, the beds were very comfortable and kitchen was fantastic. We also put the games to good use! The town centre is only about 50 paces away but the area was very quiet at night. Jenny was very kind and helpful and made us feel very welcome. I would love to come and stay again. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Beautiful house in a great location
This was one of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in!
The house is absolutely beautiful (photos don't do it justice!), spotlessly clean & brilliantly equipped. The little touches from fresh flowers to toiletries to the current issue of Country Living magazine (!!) made this a home from home.
The house is brilliantly located for Alnwick, coast & country.
A fantastic base from which to explore Northumberland's beautiful beaches, hills and many castles.
Alnwick also has much to offer: Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Gardens are popular attractions as is the famous Barter Books.
There is excellent walking close by along the coast or in the beautiful Cheviot Hills.
Northumberland also boasts some of the country's most scenic golf courses. Watersports and cycling are also popular with visitors.
Alnwick is within easy reach of a number of National Trust properties: Cragside House and Gardens are within 15 minutes drive and Wallington Hall is around 30 mins drive.
A short drive up the coast, guests can enjoy trips to Bamburgh, Holy Island and Seahouses with boat trips to visit the puffins and seals on the Farne Islands also popular.
Northumberland is steeped in History. Important prehistoric sites are located within a short drive: the remains of iron age hillforts can be visited as can the breathtakingly beautiful examples of neolithic and early bronze age rock carvings that are scattered intriguingly around our local hills. The area has many castles due to our border location and our turbulent past.
