Set in a tranquil location outside a rural Occitan village, our accommodation is a modern barn renovation which can accommodate up to eight people in two double bedrooms and two super-king bedrooms (or two double and two twin rooms). Each has an en-suite walk-in shower, sink and toilet. The barn is arranged all on one level.

In the same open plan area is a large dining and living space with wood burner for winter nights and a large window and beautiful south-facing views. A television with UK satellite channels is available as is a Blueray DVD and media Player along with plenty of DVDs. Underneath the barn is a storage area for guests' cases, bikes etc as well as a washing machine.
Outside the main entrance is a large, oak sun deck with outdoor table and chairs for dining al fresco with views of the surrounding countryside. The deck overlooks the enclosed, exclusive use swimming pool area which has pool loungers and a pool robot to keep the pool free from leaves. There are also large grassed garden areas to enjoy, a small woodland with plenty of wildlife (deer, red squirrels and birds) and ancient bridle paths to explore. Please note the pool is closed for winter from October to May.
Our nearest village is peaceful and quiet whilst being only ten minutes drive from the Boulangerie, cafes, restaurants and shops of historic Saint Antonin Noble Val, a medieval gem on the Gorges D’Aveyron.

Just spent the most amazing week at La Grange - relaxing, walking, river swimming, eating, reading, people watching, wine tasting, laughing, deer spotting, stargazing, sunset watching, water fighting, culturising and all in all having a wonderful time! I can't recommend this place or area enough - can't wait to come back.

Family and gathering friendly four-bed barn conversion. You can relax and potter along the river, through beautiful medieval villages. and if you or one of your party is cyclist then you're in a beautiful spot for a ride. Weather, wine and gastronomy is great - we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

About As Plos Heights
We are a family running cycling holidays and self catering accommodation here in beautiful south west France where we enjoy the lifestyle of cycling, walking, sampling the local cuisine and drinking the wine!
As Plos Heights purchased this Barn in 2015
Why As Plos Heights chose Espinas
After holidaying in this area we were struck with how beautiful and yet largely unknown this region is. It offers it all, with the dramatic landscapes of the Saint Antonin gorge, the vineyards of Gaillac to the picturesque medieval bastide villages of Cordes sur Ciel, Puycelsi and Najac. With peace and tranquility on our doorstep yet with opportunity to take part in lively festivals, markets and village gatherings, we felt it was the perfect place to to live and raise a family. Our property is in easy reach of all essential amenities and the fantastic tourist sights of the region, yet it is completely rural with only the distant sound of tractors and cows! Our barn has been renovated to a high standard and each room has it's own en-suite making it perfect for shared family, groups of friends or couples wanting to holiday together. And, for when it's hot (and does it get hot!) there's the pool to re-energise in!
What makes this Barn unique
-The stunning views from the barn and terrace overlooking the country side and private walled pool area - Star gazing or sunbathing on the terrace - Opportunity to walk or cycle straight from the door in our own land or to explore the local countryside and walking routes - Bird or nature watching from the living room! - Huge alfresco dining area to share meals with family and friends - Traditional and quaint on the outside but with luxury and modern finishings and fittings on the inside . - Annual summer festivals in the local village and surrounding villages - Summer night markets

Fabulous position and pool
Loved the Barn, beautifully interiors, owners very helpful and friendly.
Great area to explore and paint.
This is a truly fantastic and very special property due to its location and amazing renovation; The barn has fantastic facilities, gorgeous en suite bathrooms , the swimming pool is stunning and the kitchen being open plan means that you never feel isolated. We were lucky to stay for two weeks with our four grown up children and two friends, it was ideal and can't think of a better place to spend my holidays.
To add to all that, we were truly spoiled as being a cycling family, Marcus was able to provide guidance and help with route and best hills to tackle. There is a huge lock up space under the barn, perfect for bike storage.
There is so much to do , visit and yet the barn is so quiet and peaceful: the sky at night is littered with stars, quite magical.
We would love to come back, maybe on one of the cycling tours as well.
Thank you Mel, Charlotte, Marcus and Jim for your kindness, ideas for visits, not forgetting for that very special eau de vie.
Thanks so much for this lovely review Stephanie - we're so glad you all had a lovely holiday here. As you know, we chose this area because of the cycling so it's great to hear from cyclists who also loved it for the same reasons...and much more too! We hope to welcome you all back one day soon.
The As Plos four!
Beautifully renovated propertY, stunning location
We had a fantastic holiday here with 3 generations of our family. The barn is luxurious with everything you could need, clean, relaxing and home from home with the addition of stunning views and an array of wildlife. It is in a beautiful secluded location, but also close to loads of medieval towns and villages for some exploring, dining or river bathing. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful with many ideas for days out and things to do. We spent many hours relaxing on the decked area, eating, drinking and star gazing and look forward to returning once the pool is installed, which, right besides the decking will be a perfect addition. The perfect place for making memories, I could not recommend it enough.
Thanks so much for your glowing review! We are so glad your family enjoyed the barn as it is a great place to suit all different ages especially with the addition of our new pool which we hope will be a fantastic private area for adults to relax in with a good book and for children to play. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
A truly beautiful, peaceful place to stay...heaven
Anyone who loves holidays, sun, France, relaxing, beautiful scenery, cycling (if you fancy that), food, wine...I would highly recommend going here...it's just amazing!
Thanks Selina, it was great to have you and your family stay and so glad you enjoyed the gite and the area!
Welcoming, stunning views and superb accomodation
Just returned from a week’s stay at As Plos, Espinas, St Antonin Noble Val. I had an absolutely wonderful time and received a very warm welcome by the owners –Jim, Mel, Charlotte and Marcus.
The converted barn, which was home for the week, and gardens with hot tub, are just lovely with the secluded setting being breathtakingly beautiful and very peaceful. The Lounge /Kitchen is spacious and well appointed to a high standard. Cooking facilities are generous with all the equipment that even Mary Berry would ever want! Never seen such a huge cooker. Mountain Views from the sitting area are stunning. Books, CDs TV are all available for winter evenings. Four comfortable double bedrooms, all en-suite, are completed to a high standard. Plenty of hot running water. Exposed beams and natural stone are a feature of the accommodation.
There is plenty to see and do in the area. Cycling, walking, wine tasting, medieval villages to explore like Cordes and Najac, local markets and local cuisine to sample.
I would thoroughly recommend a visit.
As good as it´s gets ;-)
Everythink of our stay was perfect and we have enjoyed every moment in the barn. The four british guys are the best we have ever met...helpful, kindly and every time courteous.
The barn is as awesome as the landscape of the mid pyrenees.
4 great guys spent a week in the barn. Very friendly and the tidiest guests yet! Hope you guys can come back again soon. The summer and the pool await.
