Enchanting Country Home
From the moment we drove into the drive I was enchanted. The house and yard were immaculate, green, beautiful. Roberta gave me a tour of the house and I was even more impressed. We had 12 adults and one pre-teen staying in the house and we always felt relaxed, never claustrophobic. There are numerous gathering spaces inside and outside. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. We made dinner twice and had a group of people in the kitchen at the same time. We used the firepit in the yard and had a truly magical experience. We will back soon.
Absolutely stunning. Very welcoming. Wow!
Roberta and her husband were more than welcoming. After a long drive they were there to great me and help me bring some things inside. Gave me a great tour and were so helpful throughout the trip. They even had a bottle of champagne in the fridge for us to have to celebrate my sisters upcoming wedding. I will defiantly be staying again and bringing my husband back to enjoy! Thank you for everything
Thank you Brittanie for being such a great guest. It was so nice of you to strip the beds and gather the towels and overall leave the place in great shape. I'm glad
you and the women had a good visit. I hope we do get to see you again.
All the best.
Lovely comfortable house in a relaxed setting
Owners are very friendly and hospitable, they pre-stocked the refrigerator with some basic staples for our use (and had a bottle of wine on the table to welcome us). Lots of amenities, comfortable and cozy rooms, well appointed. Easy drive to various activities, historic areas/battlefields/sites, and assorted things to do. We had 6 people spanning 3 generations for our stay, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Beautiful country lane to take walks on, picturesque vistas wherever you turn. If you are looking for a secluded countryside getaway location, this is the place!
Thank you so much for your review. We are so happy that you had such a nice time. We also appreciate how neat and clean you left things. Thanks for that too. Take care. Happy New Year!
Best Rental Experience Ever!
My family rented both the house and apartment for a family reunion. It was truly the best rental experience we've ever had. The accommodations were great - the home is even more lovely than the pictures show. The owners were delightful and so easy to work with and very flexible. I'd give this the highest recommendation! You won't regret renting here.
Awesome house in Virginia wine country!
We stayed here for a girls weekend full of wine tasting and it was perfect! The house is much bigger than the pictures suggest and had great usable space inside and out. Roberta was so warm & welcoming, met us at the house to show us around and even left us home baked coffee cakes! Great location close to lots of awesome vineyards! Would stay again!
Great Weekend Getaway
We had a wonderful time staying here for our annual "Girls' Weekend." The house was lovely - comfortable, clean, and cheerful. Roberta and Rich were very welcoming, providing great dining and touring recommendations as well as breakfast muffins and coffee we ate while watching the birds at the feeder out the kitchen window.
It was a great location for us - we loved driving "in the countryside" - but convenient to Leesburg, Lovettsville, Brunswick, and Harpers Ferry.
It's definitely a place we will put on our "stay again" list.
Guests will have access to their own private outdoor space. Enjoy an afternoon nap in the hammock or an evening sitting around the fire pit.
