The property was beautiful clean and all you need.
Wonderful holiday. Peaceful and in beautiful surroundings. Not to far from the supper markets, restaurants and lots of water sports on a lovely river very close by. The children loved playing in the foristey garden. We all had a great holiday ,16 of us. Would love to go again and will recommend it to everyone. Especially with the new swimming pool installed now.
This is a great place to stay if you want to relax
This is a great place to stay and can only get better as the owners continue to develop the property. We understand there will be a gym and music room completed later in the year. The swimming pool will make this enormous barn conversion even more of place to suit most holidaymakers’ needs.
The barn is set in the heart of woodland with beautiful views across the valley to the local village where time slows down particularly during lunchtime when you can enjoy a picnic on the riverside beach.
A stroll in the Barn’s gardens easily develops into a full hike though the forest where a series of water wells lead back down to the village unless you can remember to go back to the barn for a typical French lunch of bread cheese and just a bit to much wine.
Nothing has been spared to make sure we were comfortable during our stay, Egyptian cotton bedding on huge king size beds where we could have spent all of our holiday. The main lounge is the size of a small ballroom where a grand piano and pool table are almost lost. We stayed there in the early Spring so the log burner gave a welcomed cosy feeling on the evenings spent playing the wide selections of games or watching a film in the cinema room next-door.
We just wanted to spend our time relaxing in the Barn but there seems to be lots to do nearby. The area is a mecca for cycling, rambling, foraging and canoeing the list could go on.
If you want to get away from it all and relax this is the place for you.
