A colourful, stylish, character-packed maisonette (duplex) brimming with originality. This is no bland holiday rental, nor a super-pristine show apartment - this is an authentic, quirky Notting Hill home that has been featured in magazines.
Situated just off Portobello Road, moments from the iconic blue door that appeared in the film 'Notting Hill' (for a millisecond!). Positioned on the 2nd and 3rd floors, with floor to ceiling windows in several rooms, it is flooded with natural light and has far-reaching views over the neighbourhood.
The oak-floored sitting room and large kitchen (the latter with a roof terrace leading off it) are on the lower floor, while upstairs there are two double bedrooms with crisp white linen and lots of pillows and fresh towels, with an open plan study and a colourful bathroom with bath-tub and shower.
The flat is two floors up from the street with no lift so it might not be suitable for those who find stairs difficult and I'm afraid it's probably not suitable for very small children. Ask me if you have questions about this. The flat is not super-modern, as in wet-rooms or coloured mood lighting but it functions perfectly nonetheless. It's a much-loved home with the quirks and idiosyncracies that all homes develop.
It's perfect for 2 couples, or a couple of friends. It's a lovely flat to stay in on your own too. I have lived here for years and love the combination of being right in the middle of all the excitement and bustle of Portobello, but at the same time feeling tucked away above it in a quiet, spacious, atmospheric apartment.
