This character 17th century, semi-detached cottage enjoys an idyllic position above Coledale Beck, at the foot of Whinlatter Forest and in the heart of the delightful lakeland village of Braithwaite. Within 400 yards there are 2 traditional inns, a restaurant and a village shop. The cottage is full of character with heavily beamed ceilings and an inglenook fireplace with open fire. There are fabulous walks from the door, including the Coledale Horseshoe, taking in Grisedale Pike and Causey pike. The Whinlatter Forest visitor centre has a shop, café, children’s activities and mountain bike trails. There is sailing on the nearby Bassenthwaite Lake, and lots of other outdoor activities locally, from rock climbing to ghyll scrambling. Shop 400 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
