Nice couple of days. Friendly welcome explaining heating, hot tub etc. Place comfortable and spacious. Hot tub was a bonus. Could do with new pillows on bed. Although we knew in advance it would be nice to have had towels, tea towels supplied) especially for people travelling from abroad). Place was surface clean.
We stayed at Melldalloch with friends and were greeted with a warm welcome from owner. The lodge is fully equipped with all that you need and has a great hot tub.
We were lucky with 3 great days of nice weather and went exploring nearby with the ferry from Portmadie to Tarbert and a wee drive then walk to Ostel Bay which was beautiful.
Really recommend this lodge if you are looking to get away as this is a beautiful part of Scotland and very picturesque. Will be back!
Fantastic accommodation, located in a beautiful, peaceful location
We had no idea what to expect from our stay, other than knowing that Melldalloch lodges had great reviews. The only disappointment that we had is that we didn't book to stay for longer. The lodge is very spacious, superbly clean & modernly decorated. It has a really well equipped kitchen that meant we could easily self-cater when we needed to. The hot tub is fantastic and really added to our holiday (2 adults & 2 children - couldn't get the kids out of it!). The area itself is absolutely beautiful & very peaceful and it was just what we were after. There are some lovely walks, with a beach about 15 mins away. Nearby Portavadie Marina was a nice afternoon trip for a swim and evening meal. The owner was lovely and although we didn't need him, made us feel that we could trouble them at any time - small touches like leaving us a bottle of water (the tap water is from a natural spring so although perfectly safe, if you're not used to it you shouldn't really drink it unless boiled). We are already trying to figure out how we can plan another trip in the future!
Stayed here for a few days for my wife's 40th birthday and would definitely go back.
Fantastic, very well equipped and everything provided.
Property well maintained and peaceful just what we were looking for😊Would definitely stay again.
Peaceful Chalet away from it all in beautiful countryside. Well maintained and comfortable. Owners are lovely and non intrusive. Near enough to shops and amenities with some lovely walks for dog owners. Surrounded by rolling hills and forests. Tighnabruaich is about 5 miles away and very friendly. Lots to see and do. If you go though take wellies lol as it can get a bit muddy if it rains but didn't put us off. Will definitely go back😘The Hot Tub was amazing especially after a nice long walk and a shower. Peaceful and endearing. Loved it. Laundry on site.Wifi available. Poor signal on Three Mobile but more masts seemingly going up.😘 Overall very Happy.
