About the property

Great location in the city center with the best view at the Central Market.

The cozy apartment with high ceilings is over 200 years old. A parking space is available in a nearby garage for additional fee.

All the main city attractions are within walking distance (Dragon Bridge, Old Town, Triple Bridge, Prešeren Square, Ljubljana Castle).

There are great restaurants close by, and many cafes, bars and pubs just across the river. 2 Supermarkets nearby.

Suitable for families, couples and small groups.

THE SPACE:

The spacious apartment (70 m2) on the 1st floor is newly renovated and furnished. It consists of fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, huge living room with sitting area and dining corner, master bedroom, smaller office which also acts as a secondary bedroom, bathroom with washing machine and a doorway (see photos for the apartment plan).

You are also welcome to use a shared coffee machine in the kitchenette on the stairway to make yourself a morning (or day) coffee. Our guests are highly praising it :)

GUEST ACCESS:

The whole apartment; and a kitchenette in the stairway on the same floor, where you can freely use the coffee machine to make espresso coffee.

A parking space can be arranged for you to use in a nearby public garage (300 meters away) for additional payment. Please inform me in advance whether you will need the parking.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS:

I will be available to assist you at the house most of the time; if not, contact me by phone or e-mail.

In case of an urgent matter, my parents or I will mostly be available for assistance at home, one floor above the apartment.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

1-night stays pay 25 € more for additional cleaning.

Tourist Tax is NOT included in the price (1,27 €/person/night; children 7-18 years 0,63 €/child/night) - paid at the property.

No parking in front of the house - restricted area. You are able to only temporarily drive the car up to the house to unload your luggage. A parking card can be arranged for you in a nearby garage for an additional fee: 25 €/1 day, 40 €/2 days ... all further days the price lowers. Max height: 2,05 meters

You can buy a Ljubljana Card (online or at Tourist Information Centres), which is a combined ticket to Ljubljana's major sights enabling visitors to explore the city in a comfortable way and at the lowest cost. Unlimited bus rides, free guided tours, boat tour, admissions to museums or ZOO, funicular ride, Ljubljana Castle & more for a period of 1, 2 or 3 days. More info at VisitLjubljana website.

Fantastic in every way!

Great apt, well represented in photos, excellent location, well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Sarka is a gracious host and responds quickly to questions and helps with special needs. Lots of space to spread out, which was nice because my sister was traveling with me and we have different sleep hours.

Instructions for everything, plus tips on location of grocery, bakery, etc all outlined in the apt with great clarity. One of the best rentals I've had, and I travel extensively and rent almost monthly.

The Apartment Sarka in Ljubljana. Great location, price and hospitality.

We, my wife and son and I, were visiting our daughter in Ljubljana around Easter weekend and needed a place to stay in town to take in the sights as well as being in a location near our daughter. We found this apartment on VRBO and after reading the reviews and mapping out the city we knew this would be a great location to stay.

From the beginning of our booking Sarka was in contact with us and always very helpful. We had rented a car and she set us up with a garage for 10 euros/ day which is a good price in Ljubljana. The location of this apartment is absolutely perfect. You overlook the Central Market and are in walking distance to the "Old Town", restaurants, Castle, and a grocery store. Sarka met us at the apartment and had stocked the kitchen with breakfast items, juice, milk, cheese, rolls, butter, eggs, Prosciutto, beer and 3 chocolate Easter Bunnies! Her attention to detail is very commendable. The apartment has all the comforts you would need, 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, eating area, TV with cable, WIFI, and a washing machine. I must not forget the Cappuccino machine in the hallway which was a lifesaver as we adjusted to the time difference (7 hours).

Overall just a wonderful place to base your trip out of if your are visiting Slovenia. If you are comfortable with it rent a care and drive up to Lake Bled (50 minutes), Vipava Wine Country (1 hour 15 minutes), and Venice (2 hours 45 minutes), also skiing in the Alps in just 45 minutes. Hopefully we will be back in the future.

Wonderful apartment and great location.

The apartment was clean, roomy & modern.

Sarka was so helpful with directions, maps, recommendations and was very attentive to every detail to make our stay easy. We loved all the extras from the well stocked cupboards to the food she bought so we would have something to eat & drink when we arrived.

Very clean, great space, everything one might need...

We loved our stay in Ljubljana and Sarka's apartment contributed greatly. It could not have been more conveniently located: great open air market right across the street, restaurants just a few minutes walk away, old city center a very short walk away. Start your day with an awesome coffee at the apartment and you can't go wrong!

OUTSTANDING HOST. OUTSTANDING LOCATION

We arrived Later that expected as a result of airline delays and were exhausted.

But Sarka's friendly face and thoughtfulness by bringing us a few breakfasty things just made our day.

Beyond that - the apartment was clean - spacious - and comfortable! The location was great. With the food market right in front of the apartment and walking distance to the main sights and outstanding restaurant.

We were only there a short time but we all fell in love with the city and country - a people of unparalleled kindness and friendliness.

Thank you, Sarka, for making us feel so welcome.

Our little family hopes to be back!

Excellent location, very comfortable and spacious

Sarka was a wonderful, warm and charming host and we found her apartment to be very spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked when we arrived. The location is very central and we could walk everywhere within a few minutes. Some of the services that we used that were very close to the apartment were the grocery stores and the tourist information. There were food stalls and sort of a beer garden around the corner outside the church about one block away ( only Fridays I think). The whole area was bustling with activity.

We had a wonderful stay in Ljubljana, thank you, Sarka!

The apartment is located at the edge of a pedestrian zone of the Old Town Ljubljana - you can easily drive your car to the entrance, though you need to park elsewhere. We help with the parking space in a nearby public garage for additional fee.

All the main city attractions are within 20 minutes walk.

Across the street is the Central Market where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables.

In the warmer months "Open Kitchen" is open every nice-weather-Friday behind the Cathedral, where you can try different foods and drinks at the stalls.

Tourist Information Center is located beside the Central Market, where you can also rent a bike in the warmer months.

Go to the medieval Ljubljana Castle using the same street where the apartment is (max. 10 minute walk) or go there by the funicular around the corner.

Enjoy the heartbeat of Ljubljana by sitting in one of the cafes, drinking coffee and watching the hustle and bustle of the town.

Don't forget to try some of the Slovenian traditional food! Great restaurants are within 10 minute walk.
