Review of Home Away experience
We had a good holiday but with no thanks at all to HomeAway who did NOT book the property for us but extracted £40.80 from our bank account for having gone through their website to the actual letting agents who charged us £35 for actually providing a real booking service. The HomeAway fee is effectively a scam to raise money without providing an actual service. Over the phone they said that the fee would provide support if we encountered problems, but since they had taken our money without any acknowledgement or any email saying who they were or why they had taken it it appears to be tantamount to a total shabby scam. For HomeAway now to pester us for opinions about our stay is just rubbing salt into a wound and exacerbating our low regard of their shabby business practice.
Ideally situated for exploring and discovering the beautiful county of Kent. Nearby you will find the gothic Chiddingstone Castle which houses a museum with Japanese and Stuart collections. Chiddingstone village is 1.5 miles away by road or footpath and boasts the famous National Trust Tudor village street of shops, houses and pubs, with oak-framed and white panelled buildings and the beautiful church and churchyard.
