Our little chocolate box cottage is newly refurbished with an open plan living room and kitchen, an open fire, Freeview TV and Wifi. Cookham is a beautiful bustling typical English village with all the amenities and many lovely pubs and restaurants and easily accessible from London Paddington. Close by is the Chiltern way meandering through stunning countryside and beautiful villages all usually equipped with typical cosy English pubs! We are close many historical towns such as Henley on Thames (famous for it's regatta and riverside festival), Marlow (Tom Kerridge's Michelin star restaurant and his brasserie), Windsor (Famed for the queens favorite castle and residence, and of course Legoland) and many more including Bray (home of Hestons world famous Fat Duck). The area epitomises rural country living and featured in the likes of Midsummer Murders, the Vicar of Dibley and "The Holiday" and yet it is within a few miles of the M4, M40 and the M25. We are located down a little unmade lane, parking is available 100yds away next to the church as is the local pub. We have a small private cottage garden to the front.

Perfect country break
Lovely lttle cottage, great location. Well equipped & owner very accommodating. Highly recommend.
Thanks so much Brendan and thanks for leaving the cottage so spik and span!
Lovely cottage with all you need for your stay. We loved it!
We had a lovely four night stay. Helen, the owner was very friendly, approachable and extremely helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommended.
Beautiful little cottage.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Helen has a beautiful home and exquisite taste. Set in a quiet village with lovely country pubs on the doorstep. Close by to Marlow, Henley, Windsor and Maidenhead. Comfortable throughout with all the home comforts. The only thing it didn't have for us was a potato masher but a fork did the job. Whilst we didn't meet Helen her communication with us was brilliant and we would thoroughly recommend her home to anyone looking for a relaxing stay. We'll go back. Thanks Helen.
Excellent location; Helen was great and available!
Cottage is perfect - modern but cozy; we were a family of 4 with two teenage girls - had all the amenities we needed; great pub next door, thanks for everything!!
Thank you so much, you were the perfect guests! So glad you had the British weather at its best! See you again I hope.
True sanctuary in the heart of a beautiful English country village
We were here for two weeks whilst in the UK visiting family. The house was absolutely perfect. Extremely clean and well equipped, right down to some basic essential groceries on our arrival. Warm and cozy with comfy furniture to relax in.
The bedrooms were bright and comfortable, with plenty of storage to stack away suitcases and hang clothes.
The house is nestled with a few others down a small secluded lane. Parking is to the top of the lane, a very short walk and we had no problems finding a space.
The garden is to the front and south facing so gets sun all day.
It is right next to the pub with good pub grub and huge garden with play area for kids (though we were not disturbed at all by noise).
Internet and phone reception were pretty good too considering it being in a more rural location.
We would definitely recommend this property and will book again in future. Immeasurable in terms of comparison to the limitations and cost of a hotel.
Thank you to the owner for our wonderful stay.
