Sleeps 3 with a delightful attic room with Mary Poppins-like views
A life-long Derbyshire lad, I live with my family about 8 miles away from our 2 Belper cottages, where we own vineyards, orchards and woodlands. My fathers family have been in Belper for around 200 years, possibly more and we lived there till 2007. We still love Belper, hence our passionate commitment to providing visitors with a first class experience.
Owner purchased this Cottage in 2015
Why Owner chose Belper
We lived in the one just next door until 2007, and Frith Cottage came on the market in 2015, at a point when we were thinking of adding a new cottage to our business. We knew the owner and we knew the cottage so it was a perfect fit. We invested in a fairly major refurbishment, opening up some internal spaces and completing the attic conversion and putting in a new patio. We love it and think you will too.

Fantastic few days in this lovely little cottage only a short walk from the town
Thanks for staying with us and we’re glad you enjoyed your stay.
Lovely cottage close to town centre.
Thank you. We’re very glad you enjoyed your stay with us!
Quaint Little Cottage
We spent a lovely few days staying in Frith Cottage. The cottage is very small but fully equipped with everything you could need. The bed was extremely comfortable, so much so I am now looking at buying a new bed, as I slept better in this one!
Belper is a lovely little town with independent shops alongside high street favourites. Something worth noting, if you have mobility problems or struggle with hills, then this may not be the place for you. We didn't get to use the garden as the weather was not on our side during out stay, but went up and looked at the views. Would be lovely to have a coffee on a nice morning.
Had a meal out at the Black Boy Pub in nearby Heage. Would definitely recommend this pub for a meal out.
Overall, enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
Frith Cottage is small but perfect for a short break
We had a great time in Belper at Frith Cottage despite the weather. Everything you need for a long weekend away
My first time staying at Frith Cottage and what a lovely cottage it is too. It has everything you could need for a great stay. I was visiting family in the area, and due to them having some building works done and Frith cottage fitted the bill and more. If you have never been to the Belper area its well worth the visit as there are lots of places to visit in and around the area. Happy holiday folks !
A really lovely cottage well situated
thank you Barry, your cottage is really lovely, cosy and well equipped. we spent a great stay in Belper. this cottage is also well situated to visit England.
On the edge of the Peak District and in the beating heart of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site this cottage has everything on its doorstep. Buses and trains connect keen wakers with the Peak, museums and beautiful countryside and there are beautiful scenic walks from the cottage that overlooks historic Belper and the beautiful Derwent Valley.
Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall and many other stately homes are in easy striking distance, with some easily accessible by public transport. The attractions up and down the Derwent Valley World Heritage Site are all accessible by train too.
There's almost too much to see and do!
