Why Richard chose Ramsgate
I saw this home and just had to own it! It is a beautiful historic building set in an majestic location overlooking the Royal Harbour. Enjoy the coast, the beaches, the blossoming bar and restaurant scene, and an amazing list of things to do in the area for kids and adults.

40th wedding celebration with the family
We found the property exceeded our expectations and it was a fabulous way to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with our family.
Fantastic accommodation for our three-generation get-together. Great views over the harbour; restaurants close by and only a short walk to the beach for the kids.
But the biggest plus for us was the space: six bedrooms spread over three floors; a large lounge and dining kitchen; a games room with pool table and a barbecue in the backyard.
The ship’s bell certainly came in handy to signal family mealtime roundup from all corners of the property.
Beautiful house exactly as stated.
This house more than lived up to expectations, we were a party of 11 adults 3 children and 3 dogs and there was plenty of room for all. The only thing that could be improved on is maybe a couple more mobile clothes rails for the rooms without wardrobes but would return without any hesitation.
We were a group of 10 for a hen party and everyone absolutely loved the house. There were enough rooms for everyone and plenty of space in the house. It has everything you need and is in a wonderful location. Just great!
A great house in a great location.
We rented for a weekend away, a party of eight adults and six kids, the house has space in abundance so we had a very comfortable stay. The house comes equipped with everything you could need. Richard was very helpful. I thoroughly recommend.
Lovely house in a great position. Loved the fact you can park your car up for the weekend.
Bedrooms where a good size and the beds where very comfortable with beautiful linen. The bathrooms and toilets where clean and with modern furnishings. The living room and master bedroom has wonderful views over the harbour, a great weekend with friends.

Walking and Cycling
The Isle of Thanet, with its long coastline and open green spaces, is perfect territory if you want to be active. There is a network of trails that take you through towns, countryside and along the coast. You can walk any section of the 32 mile Viking Coastal Trail, or criss-cross you way through Thanet’s hinterland. But there are also self-guided town walks, and guided costumed walks, which bring the history of the area to life.
Topping the cycling bill is the 32-mile Viking Coastal Trail, which takes in the coasts of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate, past spectacular chalk cliffs and along quiet lanes, but also dips inland into the villages. It’s suitable for serious cyclists but also family outings. There are themed mini routes within it too. Don’t worry if you haven’t brought your bike as you can hire one. You can get all the information you need from Visit Thanet.
Blue Flag beaches and the bays of Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Margate and the surrounding seaside villages offer adventures on the water, whether it’s a gentle boat ride or adrenaline-fuelled jet-skiing you’re after.
Joss Bay in Broadstairs is one of the best for surfing in South East England. You can hire boards and wetsuits from the Surf School on the beach.
There’s windsurfing in Birchington, sailing in all the towns and a jet-ski outlet in Cliftonville.
If you fancy a boat ride - a gentle one or a speedboat to the wind farm - Ramsgate Royal Harbour has it all.
The annual regatta during Ramsgate Week is a must for boating enthusiasts.
Ramsgate and the surrounding area is full of things for kids to do.
