Tramping around the Trossachs
Had a wonderful time at Ken and Caroline's cottage in Killearn. Fantastic base for visiting Loch Lomond, the Trossachs, Glasgow or Stirling. Loved cooking on the Aga type stove and sitting out back for dinner. We were blessed with 5 of 6 perfect sunny weather days in June. Loved walking to the Co-op every day and picking up the things for dinner, or just pop in the Old Mill Inn for some fantastic food and drink. Very close to Glengoyne distillery and love the 15 year old! All in all a fantastic stay for the wife and I and our daughter and her pug. Would definitely recommend for another stay.
Lilybank June 2019
Property full of character and great location for Loch Lomond, Trossachs and Stirling.
Charming cottage in a walkable picturesque village. Convenient to Glasgow, Sterling and Edinburg.
A great experience.
Ken and Caroline's lovely cottage served as a great base for our weekend. The cottage was quirky but really comfortable, and I enjoyed cooking on the range. Garden is lovely. The local Co-op has everything you might need . Killearn is a pretty wee town and there were lots of nice walks from the doorstep, but also handy for getting to Glasgow. Thank you for enjoyable weekend :)
A really nice location for us near to Glasgow and surrounding area
Very cosy cottage
We booked 4 nights here. A lovely cottage with lots of quirky features and furnishings, well equipped. We were very comfortable. We cooked in which was easy with the range and good pots and pans. Also ate out at the The Old Mill, the food there and welcome was great. Walked up Conic Hill, visited the RSPB reserve, Luss, Comrie for evidence of beavers, Deils Cauldron and kept finding nice coffee shops for lunch. Loch Lomond is beautiful. In Killearn the Co-op is 2 steps away, the Old Mill a short walk. A great break.
