Why John or Cathy Adams chose La Grange
Cathy and I purchased this property in 2009 after spending over a year looking for just the right get away. Upon arriving and seeing the property for the first time we knew that this was the spot. The realtor had given us the gate code and told us to drive up and take a look. As we drove thru the gate there were deer standing in the yard. I noticed the pond was spring fed and the river was right next door. The home was impressive and in great shape. The next day we contacted the real estate agent and we were able to enter the home. Impressive, everything we were looking for. Two years latter we were able to buy the vacation rental at the other end of the pond. This home is located in a park like setting with over an acre of lawn area, private dock, river access and picnic area. You will love it
What makes this Estate unique
If you are looking for a private get away this is the place. The property sits behind a private gated entry along the Tuolumne river with a large 3 acre pond. The home is spacious and well maintained. It is a beautiful property with a year around creek running through the back yard. The front yard has a large lawn area providing a park like setting and pathway leading to pond. This is a great place to relax after a day at one of the five close by reservoirs or day trips to the gold country or Yosemite National Park.

This is a beautiful property with a large spacious house, huge yard and a pond with fishing, paddle boats and a dock to relax on. We had a family Christmas get together here and had an absolutely wonderful time, just a note, do not try to book this property over Christmas next year, because we will be booking it again, probably for a few years into the future as well.
Wonderful weekend at the lake
My friends and I rented this house for a weekend of lawn games and fishing. One of the guys caught over 35 fish from the stream and the larger pond on the property. The house was very nice and had plenty of space for cooking, sleeping, and hanging out.
John and Cathy were wonderful hosts and made sure to offer their assistance to make our weekend the best it could be.
I would definitely stay here again!
A wonderful family vacation!
We had such a great time in this beautiful house. We would like to thank John and Cathy for being so kind to us and to our kids. We will definitely come back!
Absolutely a hidden gem and oasis
John and Cathy were excellent hosts! They gave us a tour of the property and made us feel very welcome. The property is absolutely breathtaking. There is a fantastic stream in the back that our kids spent hours playing in and fishing for blue gill. We used the pedal boat and took walks around the property. The donkeys were quite entertaining as well. There's so much to do! We truly felt like we at a home away from home. We spent some time at Lake Don Pedro which was only about 10 minutes away. We want to go back again! Our kids didn't want to leave!
We had the pleasure of staying at John and Cathy’s place for 4 days. Very well maintained with the beautiful pond. Fishing was great, the sky was filled with stars that we never get to see in the Bay Area any longer. John and Cathy were great hosts and we’ll definitely be back next year...if not this one!!
Dream Get Away
John & Cathy were two very friendly and accommodating hosts. The property is break taking and no matter how wonderful the pictures are, they cant do them justice. The home has all the amenities that you would ever need and has more then enough room to spread out. My favorite part of the trip was the outdoors. The front of the home and the pond is separated by a perfectly landscaped lawn. The pond leads into smaller streams that are teaming with fish. The pond itself is stocked with more bass then you could ever catch as well as crappie and bluegill. If fishing isn't your thing, John and Kathy have a paddle boat at the dock that you have access to. Plenty of yard to roam around on and even a play area for the kids. 2 donkeys and a flock of geese also make this ranch their home. I can't say enough about the whole experience and my family and I look forward to coming back.
