Chi an Mor is a recently renovated luxury 4 bedroom bungalow in the heart of Crantock, perfectly located for you and your family to relax and play at one of Cornwall's most sought after beach destinations.

At the heart of the property is a 10m by 6m open plan living area perfect for all the family to come together after a day at the beach. The room features a fully equipped kitchen, large American style fridge freezer, dishwasher, large hob and oven, breakfast bar, dining area, central fireplace with log burner, Sky TV, DVD player, Stereo with wall mounted surround sound mounted speakers, WIFI and seating area. The room is linked to the garden by a 6m bifold door which, when closed, frames the stunning views across fields towards Cubert common so that you feel like you are outside even in the worst of weather.

The property is south facing and the large garden (which is mainly lawned and framed by flower beds) has a patio spanning the full width of the property so that the sunshine and the views can be enjoyed at any time of the day. On a summers day, when the bifold doors are fully opened the inside and outside areas become joined and it is a joy to prepare a meal whilst the fresh ocean air fills the living room and the kids play in the garden. The garden boasts a large table and chairs for al fresco dining and comfortable loungers. Also located in the garden and linked by the patio is a sauna with room for 6 people, a glass roof and views of the valley; perfect for relaxing and soothing muscles after an active day at the beach.

The main room links the rest of the house through double doors. Off a large hallway are 4 bedrooms, the main bathroom and an additional toilet. The master bedroom has a super king size bed and fitted wardrobes. It is situated at the back of the house and is linked to the garden by patio doors. Bedroom 2 has a king size bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bedroom 3 has 2 large single beds and ample storage space. Bedroom 4 has bunk beds and ample storage space. The main bathroom features a walk in shower, large bath, sink, toilet heated mirror and towel radiator. A large boiler was recently installed so that there will always be ample hot water for everyone.

Linked to the main room by a lockable external door and to the front of the property by a coded electric roller door is the utility room/toy room. On one side of this large space you will find a second kitchen sink, washing machine and further storage cupboards. On the other side are shelves for beach gear, a board rack (complete with learner boards for your use) and a large shower for cleaning down and washing out gear after a busy day at the beach. This room epitomises the ethos of Chi an Mor, allowing easy access and all the storage you need so that you can fully enjoy the beach and then quickly transcend into luxurious living making you feel relaxed and at home.

The house is located only a few minutes walk from the centre of Crantock village where you will find a well appointed shop, 2 friendly pubs, several cafes and galleries. It is easy to access the beach by one of two routes. A 5 minute walk will take you via public footpaths across farmers fields where you will be treated to stunning views of the ocean, headlands and gull rock in the distance. This end of the beach is usually quieter and has great rock pools for crabbing and fishing. If there is a swell running then this end of the beach also usually has smaller waves, better for learning to surf. Alternatively, you can access the beach via a 5 minute walk through the village (Don't worry if you have lots of gear, just do what the locals do and beat the crowds by driving down to the beach early to set up camp and then walking down after breakfast.) At this end of the beach the Gannel river estuary shapes the beach and provides an ever contrasting experience. At low tide there are shallow warm pools, rock pools and lazy walks up the sandy river bed. At high tide the river is perfect for swimming in the guarded area or exploring the river on kayak or SUP (available for rent at the beach).

  • We have one main bathroom with toilet, large bath tub and walk-in shower. There is another small cloakroom in the hallway, and an extra shower situated in the garage/utility room, which offers access from the front of the house into the kitchen. This is ideal to jump in after a surf or day on the beach, to avoid bringing sand into the main house.

Excellent holiday property, perfect for families.

The home is spacious, decorated to an extremely high standard, is well equipped and in a great location. The open plan kitchen/diner, garden and bi-fold door layout provides a fantastic space for children and adults to relax in and cook/drink/eat/play. The garden affords nice views over the countryside and the road itself is quiet.

The location is great, with a small but well stocked grocery store just a couple of minutes away, and also within walking distance or a short drive to national trust beach is the amazing beach at Crantock where we spent much of our time.

Chris and Jo provided detailed instructions and were great hosts throughout, particulary nice touch was the cream tea pack on our arrival.

A stunning home, set in a perfect location, walking distance to the gorgeous Crantock beach, near pubs and a fab little shop that seemed to sell everything! We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here (6 adults and 3 kids), the beautiful garden with outstanding views, is perfect for kids (safe, enclosed and flat) and the sauna is a nice little touch to relax in at night.

We had a wonderful holiday in Cornwall, the house and setting is stunning just as we hoped it would be. Everything you need with lots of space for little ones and adults alike.

5 minute walk into centre of Village and 10 min walk down to the beach.

Excellent stay for all the family

We stayed in this beautiful spacious home in September 2016, it was very clean, well equipped and well maintained. The open plan Kitchen/Diner and lounge area with its bifolding doors onto the patio and garden was perfect for the children (3 & 5) to play safely while we cooked a meal or sat with a glass of wine taking in the lovely view.

We were lucky enough to have good weather all week and a few minutes walk took us through the small village to the fantastic Crantock Beach, there is a great quirky place on the way back called The Hevlas for a drink or a bite to eat. It in a great location for lots of attractions ( Dairyland was a favourite with the children), good restaurants and pubs.

The Peterson's, Yorkshire

The bungalow had a very homely feel obviously cherished by the owners, we went home feeling very relaxed and have recommended this property to our friends and family.
