Stunning Harbour and Mooring views

Bedrooms 3
Property type house
Minimum Stay 1 - 7 nights

About the property

3 en-suite bedrooms in modenised 17th century house with sea and harbour views

This amazing three en-suite bedroom house is situated overlooking the picturesque Brixham harbour.

It has been completely refurbished and finished to a very high standard in 2017. It is built over four floors and has three bedrooms which are all en-suite, open lounge/ dining area and a very up to date Kitchen with all the equipment needed to reflex the high standard.

It has that very rare commodity -it's own integral garage which is suitable for most small to medium cars. Other FOC parking can be arranged in the car park directly below the house for a larger car.

At the rear there is steep steps up to a patio which shares the same panoramic views - but this wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility issues or young children.

On the top floor there is a large twin en-suite with great views over to Torbay and Thatchers Rock with digital TV. On the third floor is the master en-suite with King Size bed and the same great sea views and digital TV. (there is a self inflating queen size bed available for children if you wish them to share)

On the second floor is the wonderful lounge with sea views, dining area and off this is the very spacious and well equipped kitchen with a six burner, double oven range cooker and large fridge freezer. Off the kitchen is the door to the patio.

On the ground floor is the garage and a double bedroom en-suite with digital TV.

Over and above the three en-suite bathrooms there is a separate WC for any visitors

We ask for a 20% deposit with the booking and the remaining 80% six weeks before your arrival. Payment can be made via cheque, electronic banking or via credit card

Brixham is situated between Paignton and Dartmouth and is one of the few unspoilt fishing villages left in South Devon. You can use it as a base to explore or alternatively just leave your car parked and explore the region on foot or via the wonderful ferry service to Dartmouth or Torquay.

There are plenty of fantastic local walks as we are situated right on the famous South West Coast path or for the experience walkers, the walk from Kingswear to Brixham (11 miles) is a 'Must'! You will find more detailed walks on our web site and a list of '50 Things To Do' - We operate the SAMPFORD GUEST HOUSE which is next door to this property and you can easily find us on the web site

WE OWN AND OPERATE OTHER HOLIDAY LETS IN BRIXHAM - www.holidayletsbrixham - from 2-3 bedrooms in each property and they all have sea views

About Matthew Stuart

We own the Guest House next door to the property and have other holiday rentals in Brixham which sleeps from 2 - 6 people.

We have owned this delightful Guest House - Sampford House - for over 6 years and are always on hand to offer any advice to maximise your enjoyment.

Matthew Stuart purchased this house in 2016

Why Matthew Stuart chose Brixham

Fisherman's Wharf was built in 1760 and has had many different identities over the years - at the beginning of the last century it was the distribution dairy for Brixham.

We fell in love with it and when the previous owners decided to move we leapt at the chance to own it.

We spent over six months updating every room to meet the demanding requirements of our modern guests and each bedroom now has a lovely modern en-suite. There is now a great kitchen with a six burner range cooker and all the modern facilities you would expect - washer/dryers, dishwasher, large 70cm wide fridge freezer and even a separate wine chiller.

The integral garage is a very valuable - and rare -asset

What makes this house unique

Overlooking the harbour, the trawlers and the open sea, the views are stunning and make the best TV!

There is a steep range of steps up to the patio which has sea views, BBQ and long views over the town

As always - fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

This is our third stay at Fishermans Wharf. The house is spotless, beautifully decorated, very well equipped with its amazing location and views. Matthew and Rosie are on hand should you need anything and nothing is too much trouble for them even helping out with some great ideas for trips/days out. We would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family. We will be back next year - see you then!

Lovely holiday in Brixham

  • 5 of 5

Lovely holiday with stunning views of Brixham harbour. Couldnt fault the property for us.spacious and beautifully furnished, it had everything we needed. Maybe not suitable for elderly or very young children because of the stairs, but this did not pose a problem for us. Very clean and the owner was very helpful and friendly. We will definitley be returning in the future!

Owner's Response: Hi Lisa Thanks for a wonderful write up - we are glad you liked this property as it's a cumalation of ideas over many years and we did go slightly overboard on the specification especially on the Oak!! We do state it isn't recommended for people with mobility issues however we have had many grandparents stay in the ground floor bedroom and then they only have to climb one set of stairs to the lounge and dining area - most spend hours watching the ever changing scene in the harbour and out to sea! We look forward to you visiting again and all rates are loaded for all of 2019 already Take care

Fantastic stay at Fishermans Wharf

  • 5 of 5

Great location, fantastic views of the harbour and Tor Bay and an immaculate house are 3 reasons why you should stay at Fishermans Wharf. Ideally located to explore the area, Fishermans Wharf is a spacious 3 bed house arranged over 4 floors, which has just undergone a complete refurb. As such everything is brand new and the owners have done a great job in making this a home away from home. From the comfy bedrooms (each with its own bathroom) to the wonderful kitchen containing a 6 burner rangemaster, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is plenty of crockery and glassware and a lot of utensils including a cafetière. The lounge has far reaching views over the harbour and Tor Bay and is a great place to unwind after a day's exploring. The ceilings are low in places (it was originally built in the 18th Century so to be expected) so watch your head! The property comes with use of the garage on the ground floor, but for larger vehicles there is an additional space in the harbour a few minutes walk away. For those ale lovers I recommend hunting out the Queens Arms - a real treat and Camra winner. All in all a fantastic stay and we will be coming back next year. Enjoy!
