Bigger than it looks!
This place was the best, it had an amazing view of the canal with a place to sit and enjoy the morning next to the windows. It was an incredibly long apartment with a huge bathroom. The place had an elevator which is a plus since its on the 4th floor. The bed wasn't the best but as tired as we were we couldn't care less. The bedroom has lots of closet space and huge windows and a balcony to chill.
location and canal view from the apartment is amazing
Me and my wife stayed with our two son (11-13 yo) and the apartment was comfortable for all of us
Easy communication and check in
Thanks a lot
Wonderful place from which to enjoy Amsterdam!
We just returned from a three night's stay at this wonderful apartment in Amsterdam. The location on Prinsengracht canal was fabulous! The apartment was located within walking distance of three pancake restaurants, the Anne Frank house, and the Rijksmuseum/Van Gogh Museum. The airport bus stop is a short walk away as is a tram stop to Centraal Station and other parts of the city. The kids especially enjoyed the gelato at the ice cream shop a few steps from the apartment. They also had a great time eating dinner in the bay window while watching the canal boats go by and hearing the Westerkerk bells toll. The supermarket is right around the corner which came in so handy for picking up pastries for breakfast, fruits/vegetables/snack items, easy dinner options, and wine/beer after a day of touring the city. The apartment is fully equipped with dishes, cookware, and microwave. Also available were shampoos, soap, and a 2 port USB charger. Considering that Amsterdam was experiencing quite a heat wave while we were there, the A/C in the bedroom was definitely appreciated! Thick curtains in the bedroom also helped us sleep off our jet lag despite the 5:00am sunrise and 22:30 sunset. Just a note that the additional beds are roll away type beds. As we were only three people, with one being an 11 year old child, the roll away bed was not a problem for us, but something to consider depending on your situation. The owners were very accommodating and made themselves available throughout our stay with prompt communication. On a side note, the Dutch Resistance Museum (Verzetsmuseum), across from the Zoo, was a fantastic experience. The Junior museum is so well done. My 15 and 11 year old learned a great deal from the personal stories and interactive nature of the museum. It was touching and thought provoking while done at a level appropriate for children/teens. Although we only briefly looked around at the "adult" version of the museum, the time we spent in the Junior museum was worth the price of admission all on its own. All in all, a great visit to Amsterdam and a wonderful stay at this apartment.
Fantastic location! Beautiful and fun neighborhood.
This location is great - not overly crowded area but bustling with activity and energy. Easy walk to Anne Frank house one direction - and to the main museums in the other. The big bay windows overlooking the canal at the front of the apartment are wonderful. The entrance is slightly tricky to find on first visit - it's actually shares entrance with street address 286 so you have to walk a little further over than you would think - in our case the owner was waiting for us though to show us the way in and was very nice.
Depending on your priorities the lack of wifi might bug you - maybe do as many secure transactions like ticket buying etc as you can in advance. For general websurfing though there are several coffee bars, cafes etc right downstairs that have free wifi.
All in all a wonderful place to stay in Amsterdam!
Great, great place!
Clean, big, very well placed and nice views
Would have been even better with stable wifi!
