A perfect stay.
The house was nice, very quiet, relaxing, and perfectly situated for our daily excursions. We would definitely return on our next trip to Ireland.
Stephen - thank you so much for the review. I am delighted you enjoyed your stay and and appreciated the great location. Look forward to seeing you again. Elaine
Fantastic home in a great location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend in Greencastle Co Donegal. This is a fantastic home with everything a family would ever require, from a fully equipped kitchen to spare phone chargers. The house is in immaculate condition and Elaine has gone to extremes in providing the very best home from home. The furniture and beds are top quality and the décor very tasty. Plenty of storage and dressing space.
The booking was simple with almost instant replies from Elaine. On arrival we were met by Mark who showed us around the house and made recommendations of what to see and do in the area.
The location here just outside Greencastle is very safe for children as the house is located in a small one way cul-de-sac of approx. 5 houses, with views out over Lough Foyle.
Nearby you have the small town of Moville and the village of Greencastle with its fishing harbour. In the summer there is a short car/foot ferry from Greencastle to Magilligan Point giving ready access to the North Coast of Northern Ireland.
But why leave Donegal, with its miles of almost private golden beaches, stunning mountain views, hill and coastal walks and great food. Less than an hours drive through the mountains takes you to Malin Head, the most Northerly point of Ireland. The next land mass across the mighty Atlantic is the USA
This was our first time to stay in The Stables and will certainly come back shortly. Now we have found this place we would not be wasting time looking elsewhere. Thanks Elaine.
