(Please also note that we do not have docking or mooring rights. The pictures we have posted are illustrative only. The dock you see at the bottom of the hill is a load/unload only dock and boats cannot be tied up to to it. The boat in the picture belongs to our neighbor, who does have a mooring.)
You just will not be able to find a Lake Winnepesaukee, on-water, rental like this for any less.
Enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the White Mountains and Gunstock from the oversized deck that wraps around the lakeside of the home. Don't worry, if you want to come inside, you will have just as good a view from the wall of windows that dominate the large Great Room. The Great Room provides a wonderful room for congregating as it is 23 feet by 26 feet and encompasses the kitchen, dining, and living rooms.
This house is tastefully and well-appointed throughout, and none of the furnishings saw their better days elsewhere to be retired here. The Master Bedroom and Master Bath are all that is on the 2nd floor, so nothing gets in the way of your view of the lake.
On-site, there is a shared beach and floating swim-dock, as well as a day dock. Additionally, at the base of our property is there is swim dock, although it is not legal for a boat and only useable for launching a kayak or canoe. This home sits on over 1/2 acre of lakefront land and is situated right on the lake. Stairs lead down from the house to the 150 ft. shared beach, swim, and picnic area.
Come relax in beautiful Wolfeboro, and see why it is 'America's Oldest Resort Town' and the home of Mitt Romney's vacation home. You will truly be able to escape from the real world up here. Please also note; the VRBO rates template only allows us to enter weekly rates. During peak season (July and August), we require minimum stays of 7 nights. Outside of peak season, we require minimum stays of 3 nights, and the rental rate is pro-rated on a sliding scale, depending on how many nights you stay. The VRBO template is not able to support this kind of structure so if you are listing a stay of less than 7 nights, the quote which VRBO calculates will be incorrect. Please contact us directly for the actual quote.
What a wonderful spot! We surprised my sister (who has a home at the lake) for her birthday and we found this wonderful place to house us 3 siblings and our spouses! We kayaked, sat the little beach, BBQ'd on the lovely deck, with a gorgeous view of the lake, relaxed and spent some time in Wolfeboro!
The house is beautiful, the beds super comfy, the kitchen fully stocked and really has everything you'd need! The weather was so nice! A few small gliches but Dave was very helpful and accomodating! Also, the home was perfectly clean!!Thanks again!
I stayed here for a small family vacation - 5 adults and two boys (4 and 2). The house itself is nice and clean and in a quiet, but not secluded location. The view from the house and deck is truly beautiful. It was really convenient to have the dock and private (but shared) beach right at the bottom of the property - everything was all in one place. The owner was very prompt in responding to any questions I had before and even during our stay. From the house it is a short drive to downtown Wolfeboro, where there are grocery stores, and some quaint shops and eateries. We didn't try too many places, as we cooked a lot, but the best place we went out to eat was the Wolfetrap for seafood - a little pricey, but everything we tried was excellent. The house itself was perfect for my parents, who got plenty of relaxation, and our kids, who got as much activity as they needed. In the surrounding area, there were lots of activities for the kids as well, but I think they would have been content to spend the whole week in the house and swimming in the lake. We were sad to leave!
We (my husband and I, our four-year-old daughter and seven-year-old son) just returned from our trip, and my son has already said he wants to go back because it was the best vacation ever. We spend much of our time on a lake vacation swimming, and as a glacial lake, Lake Winnipesaukee is ideal. You can see at least ten feet down, it is cool, but not too cold in the summer, and the bottom is sand and smooth stones, not mud or stumps. This house is on Winter Harbor, and the views of the lake from the porch are beautiful. You can swim (or canoe, kayak, etc) off the tiny dock at the bottom of the steps or walk just a few extra yards to the beach. We enjoyed that it's a shared beach. It is used by just the owners/renters of the houses nearby, so it is sometimes empty and sometimes not but never feels crowded. There were often a few other children around. The water gets deeper very gradually for quite a ways out so is great for beginner swimmers, and past the breakwater, it gets deep pretty quickly and a swim dock is anchored a little way out that is fun to jump off. We all played in the sand and in the water for hours. My son thought the swim dock was the greatest thing ever, and my daughter had no problem paddling around the swimming area. The house was clean and had a roomy kitchen/living area with windows all around for a great view of the lake even from inside, and the owner was responsive and pleasant when we had questions. Another nice feature of this location is that the house is just a mile or two from downtown Wolfeboro, which is a big enough town that grocery shopping is nearby and there are a few little restaurants in town if you don't want to cook. The Yum Yum Shop downtown also has wonderful breads, pastries and cookies. We plan to rent this house again!
This Lake Winnipesaukee home in Winter Harbor is a great place for a vacation! We have stayed at this vacation rental for 5 summers, and my children look forward to it all year. The house is clean and spacious, the owners are helpful and accomodating, and the location can't be beat! We highly recommend this vacation home!
This is truely a beautiful place to stay. It is close to a cozy little town and right on the lake. The house is cozy and welcoming. This is a great place to stay with little kids, teenagers, or even a getway weekend. If your looking for a nice place to stay w/ a great view this is it!!!
We had a terrific week on the most beautiful lake on the planet. The house was well supplied, cozy and had a million dollar view! There was plenty of room to gather and visit in the large living space, on the deck and down by the community beach. Once again we have had another great VRBO experience. Rocky and Susan
