Stavros was an excellent host!
We had an excellent 12 days staying in the Gennadi Blue Sky Villas. Stavros was an excellent host, even waiting for us till after midnight to arrive and make sure we were ok. The villa was exactly as described and there were no issues with anything. From Gennadi we were able to explore lots of the island and the local restaurants recommended by Stavros were really good. We had a car for the whole stay which was key as it wasn't really possible to walk anywhere, partly due to the heat in August!
A lovely place in the sun!
We have just landed back in the UK after a lovely stay at Blue Sky Villas. The location and the villa provided everything we were looking for, and it certainly is a place to relax and unwind on the beautiful island of Rhodes. From our initial booking to our last day, which was yesterday, Stavros (the owner) was extremely responsive to any questions or assistance required and a nice guy - thank you. A car would be recommended for this villa but that in turn allows you to explore the whole of the island with ease.
Lovely Relaxing Villa
This is a perfect villa to relax in. You will need to hire a car as it's slightly too far to walk to restaurants and the beach but worth it!
The owner Stavros is really helpful and made sure the place was spotless on our arrival and he recommended local restaurants and beaches.
There are lots of lovely tavernas nearby and a great beach bar called Mojito where you can eat/ drink /snorkel!
Definitely recommend if you want to relax in a peaceful Greek environment.
Thank you so much Charlie for your sweet words! I am always trying to make my guests feel comfortable, so I am pleased to hear that you had a relaxing holiday here. I was my pleasure to welcome you here and I hope to see you again! Stavros
Great relaxing villa with a fab pool and tremendous views of the sea Stavros was very helpful and just a phone call away he even drove us into town so I could have a drink you def need a car to get around would def go back the pool was great and villa was private I recommend these villas great location for south of the island with some lovely restaurants close by
Beautiful place in a quiet setting
My husband, myself and our teenage son stayed at the Villa Calypso for 2 weeks in August and loved it. All aspects, from booking the villa, directions from the airport were promptly and efficiently handled. Due to a late flight we arrived in the early hours and we were still greeted by Stavros and his wife who gave us a tour, explained how everything worked and had even brought us bread, eggs, milk etc for our breakfast the next morning. This gesture was unexpected and very much appreciated. The villa was very clean and had everything we needed indoors and out. The outside was lovely with lots of places to sit in the sun or shade at different times of the day.We especially enjoyed sitting on the roof terrace late at night as the stars were spectacular. This was a perfect place to relax, unwind and be with family. It was very quiet with shops in the village to buy necessities. A car is essential here as the driving is very easy and while nothing is too far away ( north to south of the island takes about an hour), you need to drive to get to tavernas and the different sites. We ended our holiday recharged and refreshed and would not hesitate to recommend this property, we will probably return ourselves!
Thank you very much for your kind review, we just love it when our guests are happy and enjoyed their holidays with us. We make it our priority to let people feel welcome and ofcourse we are always there if any help or information is requested. And yes, we agree, a car is necessary to enjoy your holiday at a maximum level and to be able to go out and enjoy the wonderful tavernas and the beautiful area around. We would love to welcome you and your family again at Gennadi Blue Sky Villas for a future relaxing holiday.
Great stay highly recomended
We truly enjoyed our vacation in Villa Calypso which is a few kilometers away from the village so it's calm and peaceful. Location requires driving to anything, but same time ensures that you will hear roosters and dogs instead of civilization. (Great location for surfing in Prasonisi) Decent size pool perfect for kids to have fun and adults to refresh. There is one adjacent villa to Calypso which pool you can oversee from Calypso over the hedge so it depends a bit on your luck how secluded stay you will have. Villa has all facilities needed for the great stay including making a quick lunch /BBQ in the evening if you don't feel for driving. All in all - great service, enjoyable stay and sooner or later we will definitely return.
Thank you for your very nice review, it is always a pleasure to hear that our guests had a good time with us. We have been doing some work in the gardens this year to make the hedges grow faster so that everybody can have as much privacy as possible. We try our best to make sure that your holidays can be relaxing and enjoyable. And we would be very happy to welcome you again this summer!
Located in the South of Rhodes with its natural, unspoilt beauty, Villas Faedra, Electra and Calypso are just a 15 minutes’ drive from Prasonisi, the famous windsurfing and kite surfing beach which is at the southern tip of the island. Prasonisi is a fascinating place for both surf lovers and non-surfers to visit as it is where the Aegean and the Mediterranean seas meet. Visitors will be amazed at the scene this creates as one sea is calm and the other is choppy.
The villas are also just a couple of minutes’ drive from the beautiful, Gennadi beach which is well known for the traditional Greek tavernas that are dotted along its front.
Seeking the perfect place for a sundowner? The Mojito Beach bar is also a short drive away and is just the place to relax on a sunbed, next to the water’s edge, with a refreshing cocktail and admire our fabulous Rhodian sunsets.
Everyday groceries are easily found 2 Kms away at the quaint village of Gennadi. The village has everything you will need during your stay with a supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, medical centre and a scooter hire shop
A must-visit is Lindos village, which is termed as one of the jewels of the Dodecanese islands. Just fifteen minutes’ drive away will take you to this unique little place with its renowned ancient Acropolis that towers over the village – take a walk in the cool of the morning, or ride a donkey to the top, to admire this treasure. Below, old Sea Captain’s homes, with fine architectural features, are interspersed with more humble abodes that line the winding little cobbled streets which are abundant with souvenirs, bars, restaurants and tavernas. In the evening the village comes alive and is a great meeting place, over a meal or a drink, to rub shoulders with other holidaymakers and local Greeks.
Rhodes Town, the capital of the island, is a great day out and has something for everyone. Marrying the old with the new, the town still retains its medieval old town with fortified walls and a maze of cobbled streets. There is so much to see in this historic, atmospheric, town with its museums, variety of shops, bars and tavernas. The modern new town, with its shopping outlets, trendy coffee bars and restaurants, even boasts a casino for those of you wanting to try your luck!
