Situated on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a beautifully renovated period building with only 3 other apartments, the Penthouse suite has 2 bedrooms and a large open plan living / kitchen space. Ideally located just a few steps from St James Street in fashionable Kemptown, and five minutes walk from the pier and the Pavilion. The apartment features flat screen TVs and free WiFi throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped with full size hob, oven, fridge and freezer, together with dishwasher, and all the usual small appliances. All crockery and cutlery are provided of course, as are linen and towels. The living area features a sofa bed, enabling up to six guests to enjoy the comforts of this stunning apartment. The upstairs bedroom occupies the entire top floor and has a small private roof terrace with sea views.

The property was wonderful. Very clean, stylish, and comfortable and also very central to Brighton town centre and the sea front. Had a wonderful stay in Brighton.
Amazing apartment in a fantastic location
We traveled with our family of four to Brighton to meet a large group of friends for the weekend. This apartment was in THE BEST location for enjoying the beach and the boardwalk. There are several nice sized food markets located within a block or two, tons of great restaurants and the street stays pretty quiet. I was amazed how "in the middle" of things we were, and yet it felt like we were on a little side street. Walking distance to the lanes, without having to stay in the middle of all the madness at night. Kitchen was fantastic, washer/dryer was a life saver! We loved everything about it and can't wait to stay again.
A great apartment
We stayed for just one night for a special 21st birthday celebration weekend. The apartment was perfect for the five of us and in a great location. We will definitely be back :-)
When we arrived the weather was miserable and everyone was tired. I'd rang the owners to see if we could check in but unfortunately they were having new carpets fitted and asked if we could kill an hour or so. This wasn't an issue, we went for a bite to eat and checked in a little later. On arrival we were given a bottle of bubbly and some chocolate muffins which was a brilliant little treat. We were also told that because we had to wait an extra hour for check in, that they would supply us the parking permit for free, which I wasn't expecting.
The TV struggled to get a good signal but I believe this was more down to the poor weather than anything. It didn't really matter anyway as we were rarely in the apartment. It's a stones throw from the main hub of Brighton, with a CO-OP just round the corner which came in handy.
Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend 100%.
Wonderful location but disappointingly equipped.
About 150 meters from the sea so ideal for central Brighton.
Now I know I'm being picky, but after a while all the small things add up! And we were told on arrival that certain items are due to be replaced the following week.
The key code we were given was wrong, so we could not gain entry and had to call the house manager.
The bed in the lower bedroom we could feel every spring.
The bathroom extractor fan did not work.
The sash windows would not stay open.
The dining table was only suitable for four people, not six.
The bar stools were too high, and broken.
There were only six plates of each size, so the dishwasher had to used after every meal.
The dishwasher was broken making loading & unloading difficult.
There was only one tea towel and no oven gloves.
No oven dishes other than one tray.
No dish cloths
Overall, not good value for money.
We always welcome constructive comments on our properties as this helps us to keep improving our standards, however it does seem in this case that we became scapegoats for a cancelled wedding!!
I address the points raised in order:-
1)-Not sure why there was an issue with the key code, however we have a live in house manager in case of problems & John & his party gained immediate access. The house manager even helped carry his numerous pieces of luggage.upstairs..
2)-There are no springs in the bed it is memory foam!!
3)-The motor in the bathroom extractor fan burnt out & we were awaiting a new one( now replaced)
4)-The lower sash windows are on closers as a safety precaution, the upper ones have a latch to keep them open.
5)-The dining table can seat 6 , spare chairs are in the bedrooms, in addition there are bar stools at the breakfast bar.
6)Not sure how the bar stools are “too high”, they fit underneath the breakfast bar & as far as I can see are certainly not broken.
7)-I have taken on board the comments about the crockery & there are now 12 place settings
8)-Unfortunately the previous guest had broken the dishwasher basket , this did not affect the working of the dishwasher. We have now replaced the dishwasher as we were unable to get the spare part.
9)- Had John needed another drying up cloth, extra dish or oven glove he could have asked the house manager for them at the various times he collected his parking permits.Colin would have been happy to help.
10) Finally,. a newly decorated penthouse flat with roof terrace & sea views in central Brighton for just over £27 per person is not good value for money???I rest my case……
Overall it was a good weekend. The apartment was in a great location very close to the sea front. Not far from the town and down a quiet road. The place was clean and tidy and laid out well. Would go back there again!!
