Unit was just remodeled. Remodel included opening of the floorplan, flagstone lanai, new cabinets, stainless, granite, new furniture, flatscreen television, surround sound/cd/dvd w/Ipod playing and docking station.

This deluxe one bedroom, one bath condo has a premier location within the Alii Villas complex. Situated on the top level (third floor) it has a fabulous view of the ocean and cruise ships while also overlooking the pool. It provides a true trip to paradise, absolute seclusion from Alii Drive.

The bedroom has a new queen-size bed and there is a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room. Both rooms create a comfortable sleeping environment complete with the sound of the surf and swaying palm trees. The kitchen has new appliances and is fully equipped. All you have to do is go shopping; you can walk to the Farmer's Market.

The ocean breeze and ceiling fans typically provide a comfortable temperature, however, this condo is one of only few with AIR CONDITIONING. There is a new washer and dryer inside the condo. There is one assigned parking stall. Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and upon departure.

Alii Villas is a popular, well maintained, ocean front resort located on scenic Alii Drive with nothing between it and the ocean except palm trees and lush gardens. It's conveniently located within walking distance (15 minutes) from town where there is abundant shopping and dining opportunities, yet removed just enough to avoid traffic noise. The ocean is visible from the large pool. There is a built-in gas barbecue located near the pool with an entertaining pavilion from which spectacular sunsets can be viewed or whales can be sighted.

The White Sand Beach Park (a/k/a Magic Sands) is about a 10-minute walk. A little further is Kahalu's Beach Park, a renowned snorkeling beach as well as a spot to surf. This beach has a sheltered reef for novice snorkelers and is frequented by turtles. The Kona Country Club Golf Course is approximately a 10-minute drive with 36 championship holes.

If you're looking for a true tropical experience with all the conveniences of home, you will have a hard time finding a better value. You and your family will love this affordable luxury.

Perfect for a relaxing getaway for two.

Deb was a pleasure to work with on setting up the rental. She was always responsive and followed up on everything in a timely and friendly manner. This couldn't have been easier.

As others have mentioned Alii Villas is a great location within walking distance to the downtown and to markets. They are well looked after and we enjoyed using the barbeque area. We didn't use the pool because we love the ocean but it was used by many and appeared to be well maintained. My wife did make use of the book exchange located there. We met people that lived full time, some who have been coming here for several months every year, and some like ourselves who were first time short term visitors. All were welcoming and none of voice anything but positives about their experiences with the complex and its management.

The unit was exactly as described. For us the unit was the perfect blend of well looked after and furnished to feel comfortable "living there". It was very clean on arrival and it had everything we needed to ensure it was kept that way. It s equipped with everything we needed to make the stay enjoyable and worked flawlessly (In our experience this is not something that you always find). We always made our breakfasts and nearly always our dinners as well. We seldom used the air conditioning unit as having the windows open allowed an awesome cross breeze.

The patio was great for sitting out having a beverage while enjoying a view of the ocean, a book or playing a few hands of cards.

We would definitely hope to lucky enough to be able to stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family.

Family Summer vacation

I recently had a vacation with my family in Kona for a family Reunion, and stayed on this unit (Condo) for two weeks.. We really liked it, there's a lot space, good living room and the kitchen is really good for cooking.. it's a home away from home. It's located near town if you decided to walk around and see the beach park for sightseeing.

Amazing stay at this condo

There are so many positive things about this condo:

- location: 5 minutes away from Kona town

- VERY well maintained and newly renovated

- kitchen well stocked including tupperware you can bring to the beach / beach supplies incld. boogie board, cooler, beach mats, etc

- parking stall conveniently located next to the building

- own wifi in the unit which was speedy and reliable

- good size lanai overlooking part of the pool area

- owner, Deb/Ron, were easy to deal with. always responded timely and answered our phone calls

I would definitely rent this unit when we return to Kona.

My husband & I LOVED our recent stay in this unit at Alii Villas! The unit was comfortable, spacious, beautiful! The recent remodel was great. We loved the lanai overlooking the pool. The unit was clean and well-maintained. The full kitchen made it convenient for us to cook breakfast before heading out for the day's activities. We enjoyed using the snorkel gear, boogie boards & beach mats that came with the unit. It was located near town (less than a mile) which allowed us the opportunity to walk or drive to shops, restaurants, etc. We highly recommend this unit!!
