What makes this Cottage unique
Newly renovated - 1.6 miles from Birr
Charming and well appointed home
This home has everything you would ever need and then some. Each room is tastefully decorated and have more than enough room to allow privacy if needed. Each bed is equipped with a heating pad, feather duvet and a quilt to keep you warm on those cooler September nights. The house is located 3 km outside the centre square in Birr. It's a lovely walk into town which took 30 - 40 minutes. If walking isn't your thing a cab ride is only €5. Heating oil is the only additional cost, which at 65 cents/litre isn't much. We were there for a week and it cost an extra €14.
All in all everyone in our group (there were 5 of us) loved our not-so-little country home in the heart of Ireland! A special thank you to Ann who greeted us and walked us through how everything worked, etc. I can't wait for another opportunity to stay here!
Many thanks for taking the time to review our house. Delighted you all enjoyed your stay and many thanks for all the lovely compliments. My sister is a fabulous host and always there to lend a hand to our visitors which is a huge bonus. Many thanks again, and we are looking forward to welcoming you back to our holiday home.
Wonderful house in a wonderful location
Six of us (all adults - some more senior than others) stayed in this lovely house for a week in June. It's a lovely, homely property which felt comfortable from the moment we walked in. Sure, there were some quirks (no wi-fi, limited TV channels, noisy shower) but, to be honest, these all added to the charm. We loved it and it was a great place to come home to at the end of a day exploring Ireland. Birr itself is a charming town. Plenty to do in the area, nice restaurants and pubs, and some quirky little shops. The weather was gorgeous which made the holiday all the more enjoyable and the people were all unfailingly friendly and courteous. An excellent choice!
